Re: Nathan Trott Signs - Official
What does Nathan Trott have in common with only one other player who has represented to club in it's entire history. (i think...) What is it and who is the player with the connection.

Is it something to do with playing/starting his club football in one position (outfield/gk) but playing his international football in the other. Like Josh Magennis but the other way around.
:-/

Reply to Bob and Jamsarnie. It's a bit more mundane and simple, although i like your thinking. The player who Trott has a connection to was on loan to us at the turn of the century..

Sorry to be a party pooper Tuerto, but my laser like memopry when it comes to City tells me that Richard Mallory, a winger who played four times for us in 63/64 was born in Bermuda.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Mallory
I also found this about him;-
"A winger who was in the reserves when an injury crisis struck early in the 1963-64 season and was called in to the first team. He didn't impress however, and once the first team regulars were fit again, he was dropped. He eventually returned to his native Bermuda where he worked as a steward at a yacht club."
Now, the real reason I knew this. A few years ago, I looked up the City team for the first game I saw them play (Northampton on 5/10/63) and Msllory was the only one who played that day that I'd never heard of, so I did some research on him and the fact he was born in Bermuda must have stuck inthe back of my mind - it doesn't look as though he played international football for Bermuda though.

Thanks, but I wouldn't have had a clue about him were it not for the fact he, apparently, was there on the left wing for us in the first match I watched.
I've even found a picture of him, but you'll probably need a magnifying glass to see it,

I must have seen him as well because I had a season ticket from 62/3 until 1979
