Excited for tonight
Expecting a boring 0-0 which usually happens when I'm excited

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A good friend of mine who was watching Wimbledon when they were originally non league pre Hammam said, “ Dons are dour and well organised so probably Cardiff will dominate possession. We shall see. Our good start has surprised me given our lack of money etc etc.”

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Thinking back to the Port Vale game, City started in the same vein and they've done against Peterborough and Rotherham, but bit by bit we lost whatever rhythm we had and we started to get increasingly over run - I'm sure Wimbledon will try to do the same -knock us out of our rhythm, break up play, and counter attack. Of course, if we're that good then Wimbledon will struggle as we pass the ball around and through them, but assuming we're not there yet I wonder if BBM has a plan B.

Port Vale are a lot better than Posh. Turnbull came on and we absolutely dominated Vale, he's the key. If we keep the ball, we'll murder most sides in this league.

Agreed, if teams take us on in terms of possession and passing, then we will do most teams in this league. The group we have now are all pretty much championship level in my opinion, where they stand in the championship is down to personal opinion, but championship nevertheless. If i was manager of Wimbledon then i'd instruct my players to stop us from getting into a rhythm of play, disrupt at any cost and wait for mistakes to happen. I don't think that there will be many teams who will be able to take us on in the playing stakes, although that doesn't diminish the work rate i have seen in the limited amount of footage i've accessed, We work incredibly hard off the ball.

Assuming Turnbull is being rested for Saturday and maybe J Colwill’s energy is needed in midfield for this game

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I expect to win easily as this is the old Div 3 and we are the mighty Cardiff City. 0-2

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Must be protecting Turnbull. I’m sure hell come on if needed.

I hope we don't get lulled into the trap of playing players that will combat them, rather than just focusing on being better than the opposition, which should be the case every week.

Will we ever get a pelanty this season?

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
How on earth was that not a penalty?
-
Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If that’s not a penalty then I don’t know what is!

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Most obvious penalty I’ve seen in years. What a ****ing joke.

Absolutely- how has the ref not seen that as a foul? Was a clear booking too!

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Didn’t even give a corner. One of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen

Really. you haven't seen a lot of city games then.

Re: AFC WIMBLEDON v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Poor decision by the ref, few half chances. We should be comfortably beating teams like this. They don’t look up to much.
