I've got some brilliant photos from that game - quite a day out.

"There'll probably be a riot here. We cannot do with this."
:hehe: :hehe: :hehe:
I can remember Burnley's reserve players carrying a banner around the pitch before kick-off saying 'Thank you for your support, see you at Wembley' - I think they were in the Sherpa Vans final or whatever it was called then. They got short shrift when they came past our section. :hehe:
As I said, I've got some brilliant pictures from that trip. Loads of us on our bus were in blue and white face paint of various descriptions, lots were in fancy dress, the Whitchurch lads were all wearing t-shirts they'd had done for the occasion, etc. It was chaotic up there but great fun (different times, different times....).
Will it count towards the new Away points scheme? Asking for a friend!
Due to the European fixtures, the third round ties are staggered over two weeks - 15/09 and 22/09.
Burnley play Liverpool on Sunday 14th and we have our enormous EFL Trophy clash at Exeter scheduled for Tuesday 16th, so I'd guess the game will be played in the second week when neither team has fixtures.
I remember being in the away end and Curtis’ free kick but can’t recall any of that shenanigans. I guess it was so common it wasn’t notable 😂
The lad who drove us up, Sid, was, unlike us, a bit more upmarket. We had our overnight stuff in football type kit bags while he had his perfectly hung up in a suit holder on a hanger. We called in the services in the Midlands somewhere on the way home, Sid went to get something out of his ‘hanger’, was a bit difficult as he’d left it hanging on the railings outside the digs on Albert Rd:facepalm::hehe:
