Things have changed since we were kids, they get about 200 of them now

Red sky at night - shepherds delight.
Red sky in the morning - global warming.
I thought we had to call it climate change nowadays, on account of things not actually getting warmer?
Well I appreciate your concern but I know my own body, I can't even wear a bra with a metal loop in it without getting a reaction or eat certain fruits without my mouth getting itchy, not sure why I would want to pump my body full of crap that I have no way of removing once it's in there, or a microchip if we are going to move on to them too.
I agree. If parents are too pig ignorant to vaccinate their kids against, say, Meningitis off the back of some flimsy scientific research then the Government should take the kids temporarily into care to prevent those kids from dying of something that scientific research says is very deadly.
Just having some toast, it's a bit burnt though, ring the police
To be fair, I think it's virtually impossible for people to have a completely open mind on any subject because they are always drawn to anything which backs the viewpoint they instinctively edge towards. That said, Gluey's behaviour in this thread hardly seems like that of someone who is open to being persuaded after studying multiple sources on a subject. To dismiss the link you posted out of hand because it comes from a "global, multi-platform media and entertainment company" while placing so much faith in a story from something that is a global, multi-platform media and entertainment company with a clear political bias does strike me as a bit odd.
Instinctively, I believe in global warming, but have gone on to fact checking sites to try and get something that, hopefully, looks at the subject from a fairly neutral perspective - I'll make no comment on what is said in these links;-

I was just pointing out a current news item, or is that not allowed these days? Whistleblowers tend to have more to lose, so it's debatable whether somebody would end their professional career by making thing things up. I only mentioned the "entertainment company" bit as it's code for "we also promote propanda", while the DM fall under the authority of the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
What does the whistle blowers background look like?
Ad hominem attacks do you no favours.
It's a little strange though, Gluey, you must admit. When an experienced US judge made an order against Trump, and very clearly showed his working to anyone who wanted to look, you were falling over yourself to cast doubt against his integrity with subtle questions.
And yet when a man (who I'm very sure you had never heard of) says there's been a coverup but provides no evidence, you're happy to accept it without asking the same questions; presumably because you like what he says.
Why is he speaking before releasing his paper? Is it because he knows it will get ripped apart straightaway so he wants to get his publicity in first?
Finally, you're obviously proud enough of your IPSO comeback to use it twice, but all the Mail have done is print an interview with him so there would be nothing for them to investigage. I'm sure you know that though

Dig in
Gluey, the guy who claims he is an independent thinker who shuns the mainstream media investigates multiple sources from both sides before making his own decision and he's here wetting his pants over a Daily Mail article with no evidence and a single interviewee. :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:
Couldn't make it up :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

They report anti-globalist news items, which one would expect from a Brexit supporting media organisation. Cameron was so incensed by the DM that he demanded the firing of their editor. Anybody not on the same page as the Globalists is being silenced under the fake news agenda.

Very interesting. A whistle blower takes on a multi-billion dollar industry and negative articles penned by experts appear soon afterwards. It would be more interesting if responses like this didn't happen, as it is always the same pattern of events with the same predictable outcomes.
Talking of the words "subtle" and "agenda", the former is just about the last word I'd apply when describing the latter when it comes to the Daily Mail - it could be of course that Wikipedia has a point when it describes the Daily Mail as "generally unreliable" with a history of "poor fact checking, sensationalism and flat-out fabrication".
