The 2018 - 2019 Premier Season Match Prediction Thread - FULHAM

My grandfather (who died many years ago) was a Cherries supporter, and I was born in Bournemouth as it happens. I have a soft spot for them. When I was a kid, in the early 1970s or thereabouts, I wrote to AFCB with a list of players my grandfather reckoned had played for Bournemouth (and Boscombe??) in or around the 1910s/20s (the detail escapes me). The club wrote back with the details from their records - my grandfather’s memory was pretty good, as I now recall! I also received a then-current, autographed, team photo.

A nice gesture, right? And Eddie Howe has done really well with the club.

But tomorrow we’ll sneak a 2-1 win and I’ll be very happy.

Watched all of the Newcastle game. If they pick the same 11 they’re a bang average side. Tottenham could and should have won by 4 or more

They seem to be a bit of a bogey side for us in league games but I'll go with us getting a point, 1-1.

City 3 - 1 Toon:thumbup:

2-1 City. Newcastle looked mediocre against Spurs, particularly at the back. Need to stop Ritchie. This has to be a game targeted as a win by NW & we need to get off the mark.

They won 4 away from home last season, Jacks, West Ham, Sjoke & Leicester.

They're dodgy at the back so I think we will score. 2-1 City.

That certainly doesn't make good reading, especially the last decade.
I do think we have a better chance this time than any of those games though, even though they did have their moments against Spurs.

I am going for a 2-1 battling win for City.

All about confidence......some city players seemed a bit awestruck Saturday but they'll aclimitise. I think Bennett, Morrison, Reid, Ralls and Hoilett are looking good - not sure if Warnock trusts Murphy yet from a defensive standpoint.
