We were still fighting, or just coming out of the first world war as the Spanish flu Epidemic kicked in and i believe that we had a loose form of Healthcare before the huge changes were implemented in 1930 and 1948. Roughly 250,000 people died of Spanish flu in the UK. I don't think that we can compare then to now, to many differentials at play.

Looking at current figures to me it doesn't seem ridiculous to suggest that without social distancing and increased hospital capacity 250,000 could have been possible.

Is that because you can argue the very simplistic arguments that you’ve been presented in this thread?

There’s no need to preach conspiracy, it’s very basic. The U.K. has been socially isolating for a month. In that time we’ve had a lot of infections and deaths and our hospitals have already reached capacity. Do you not think this would be worse if we weren’t socially distancing? Or do you just not believe this has happened?

He's refusing to take into account so many different events that have happened in History, Science, Knowledge, Medicine, events, politics etc, there are hundreds of things that need to be looked at in order to understand why things change for the better or worse. Saying that it wasn't like this 100 years ago isn't an argument, backing it up with vids on Youtube less so. The problem is with people who think like Organ is no matter the outcome they can still point to a reason why it didn't turn out quite like they thought it would, and that reason will be down to forces you or i have zero ability in understanding because we don't possess the third eye. The argument that Organ uses after the outcome is akin to religious nuts who place reasoning and responsibility on some higher force that only they know about. I watched an excellent documentary from 2006 earlier this evening. It was called The Horizon Guide to Pandemic. You can probably find it on the BBC iPlayer. The last ten minutes were especially illuminating.

Based on the 2003 outbreak of Bird Flu, scientists produced a hypothetical model of how a pandemic would develop if H5N1 mutated and was able to be transferred from human to human, much as Covid-19 is being transferred now. They predicted that, if left unchecked, the virus would reach its peak at around three months, by which time the majority of the population of the globe would have been infected to one degree or another.

Professor John Oxford said: "140 people have died from H5N1 in a population of 6 billion. People say to me that's not many. My answer to them is to go back to 1917. Around 140 people died that year from Spanish Flu. Within 12 months it had exploded. That's a warning there. We cannot ignore that a virus has done this in the past. We simply cannot."

I guess the scientists and the TV producers who worked on that programme back in 2006 were simply laying the groundwork for the great Cornovirus hoax of 2020. Under the circumstances, I'm surprised David Icke wasn't all over it at the time.

Personally, I view this Covid outbreak as akin to a bad winter influenza epidemic. In this case we have had 8000 deaths this last year in the ‘at risk’ groups viz over 65% people with heart disease etc. I do not feel this current Covid will exceed this number. We are suffering from a media epidemic!
