Like many showbiz types, I find Michael Palin's travel programmes to be very superficial regarding his travels whereas I think that Simon Reeve is terrific on several levels and much more of a genuine traveller.
If you liked 'Nothing To Envy' I wouldn't mind betting that you have read 'Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China' a book that was written by Jung Chang who recalled the lives of her grandmother, mother and her own life in Mao's China. Psychological brutality on a massive scale.

He was always in a vegetative state, he looks like a shaven large Swede like creature without the intelligence.

The conspiracy brigade always remind me of a Ponzi scheme.
At the top of the pyramid there are some smart people, releasing opinion and innuendo for financial, political or national gain. This is usually picked up by the next level of distributors quite a few of which are believers but not beyond making a buck out of joining the dots as well as the bots for the more manipulative stuff.
This then filters through the next level of twitter/4chan/Youtube distributors chucking in the odd meme to add value.
At the bottom of the ponzi are guys that post stuff on football message-boards showing how itk they are. The funny thing is they think they are the smartest people in the pyramid!

Yup, and why are these idiots constantly on social media or Youtube? surely they must be part of the 'conspiracy' as well? I commend the conspiracists on their convenient ability to be able to filter what is good and what is bad. If they were serious about it all then wouldn't they run a mile from the internet?

Only co-incidental but the thread about Dai Hunt randomly wandering around the outside of the CCS shouting at random strangers and blasting out views that very few other people would recognise did strike a chord!

Must say this is very disappointing news.

They didn't tell us that one of them was going to be on the Mash Report last night.
