Something’s clearly happened and they’ve acted swiftly.

Think it's normally fairly easy to find out about someone facing criminal charges so would imagine it will make its way into the media soon enough if it is that.

Neil Harris has been talking about him being out for personal reasons for a couple of weeks or so, therefore they've known something was up and this has not been a "swift" decision.

Agreed, which probably explains Ojo and I expect they've found out the full extent of what's happened today/found out what's going to happen. It must be a drugs test or a police matter if they've sacked him you'd think.

Shame though. He was hit-and-miss but I liked him. When he was on form he was great to watch. Depending on what he's done, I wonder whether Warnock will take a punt on him?

Having a contract terminated by the club is something beyond a personal issue that the club could have supported him with.

Sounds like you believe it is good news then.

I liked him too but unfortunately he was quite inconsistent, frustrating to watch at times and also injury prone, so we never really saw the best of him apart from the first ten games or so of 2017/2018, when he was excellent. Releasing him now has got to be the best option, to avoid disruption in the squad over whatever has happened and the player and club have to move on. We have other options out wide in Murphy, Whyte, Ojo, Hoilett and Osei-tutu.

Absolutely. Mrs HaB is working from home and saw the tweet, then told me he'd signed for Bradford. Immediately suspicious of this, I took one look at it and realised it was nonsense! 1/10 for the attempt though I liked the comment about him being available after a police investigation is complete!

Personally think it's a huge loss, gives us something the others don't. Yes a little inconsistent but I think that's most wingers.

Must be something big to write off such an asset. He won't struggle for a club if/when he can sign for another.
