I once fitted out a stack of the bedrooms for Pontins, i thought it would be great, the park was open and we could get some work done, get changed, bite to eat, few drinks and enjoy the place
i was wrong, very very wrong
next time i went, i purposely didnt take any tidy clothes to stop me thinking i could have a night out, i worked till 9pm, got my head down, up at 8am and back to work, home that night, instead of a 3 day job, it was 2
I have never been there, but I think if I had been sent to do some work on Pontins, I would have been in the same mindset as you. I'd have been thinking of how great the evenings were going to be and brought along some decent clothes.

Having been bought up in north Wales, lived in Cardiff for 25 years and worked all over Wales, Rhyl is by far the shittiest place I have seen in our wonderful country.
Port Talbot which is a shame because the old photos of the town pre-1970s looked quite charming.
Now it's full of fat bastards on mobility scooters with pasty crumbs all down their 2005 Welsh rugby jersey.
Maesteg is a decent town. Free parking and a lot of independent shops opening up in the past few years.
Treorchy is a great town which still has a traditional feel about.
Another good one is Carmarthen.
Reading this thread I'm surprised how many people don't know the difference between a housing estate, village, town or city.
