However I dont think AJ is that great either.
Great fighters lose and come back but that defeat to Ruiz was an embarrassment.
Basically run and jabbed his way to a points win which was an ok performance.
I think AJ will probably win on points.
Wilder is a one trick pony but its one hell of a weapon.
I think Fury stops him again though.
Then Fury outclasses and stops Joshua.
AJ to win on points, is the least likely outcome in both fights imo.
I think he has to stop Usyk to win.
Usyk is by far the better boxer.
As for the Fury Wilder fight, i think the only way Wilder can win, is if Fury is complacent.

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
Joshua in at 240lb.
Usyk 221lb
Strange decision for AJ to come in so low.
If he thinks he’s going to have it on his toes like he did against Ruiz in Saudi...he’s mistaken.
One of Usyk’s biggest assets is his ring generalship.
He’s got the footwork to cut off AJ from running IMO.

Could it be about his own stamina and not just to have it on his toes..

That's what I imagined. Usyk's going to be a constantly moving target and he doesn't want to gas early

Quite possibly as he is known to gas middle to late rounds.
It’s surprising to me though and plays into Usyk’s hands IMO.
It’s all about if he can keep Usyk out of the pocket and punishing him trying to get there.
He’s still 19lb heavier though with a massive reach advantage.
Intriguing fight!!

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
Intriguing indeed. Actually looking forward to this fight hope it doesn't disappoint.
Yes delme he's gassed early a few times, probably a smart move but who knows may be different with hindsight..

If Usyk fights like he did against Chirora i think Joshua will beat him in six

Nah, I don't think that Joshua has the speed or reaction to catch usyk with a combo. I fancy this to be a close one, although if you're right Stan, I'll be the first to say so.

Chisora caused problems and i think i read that the fella in the fight before did to? Chisora was just throwing a big right hand whereas Aj isn't a bad boxer with a decent jab. I think Joshua finishes this by 6

In my opinion, Chisora didn't cause Usyk that many problems, although you're right, he was throwing massive hooks and charging about the ring like a bull, until he gassed, then usyk started picking his shots. AJ is a much better fighter than Chisora, more measured and better in every respect. I think that AJ might fight tactically, which could suit Usyk, as i think that he's very intelligent, more intelligent than Joshua. Although, it could be over in 6-Who knows :hehe:

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
I think Chisora is a respected gatekeeper.
Heck of a chin on him typically and a good honest barometer.
One of the questions that hasn’t quite honestly been answered is Joshua’s fighting heart and spirit.
Myself...I think it’s massively lacking and he’s relied upon his athleticism.
Boxing fundamentals typically beats pure athleticism.
The fall of Roy Jones Jr is the perfect example.
The size factor though is what is stopping me lumping on Usyk.

Heart isn't getting back to your feet and KOing klitschko?

Without doubt he showed heart against Klitschko. Dropped heavily but seemed to know where he was and came back.
The Ruiz punch in R2 seemed to completely disorietate him. Seemed to be totally confused and just couldnt cope at all with Ruiz hand speed. Spat his shield out and gave the ref no choice but to stop it.
I dont think it was heart I think he was concussed and couldnt think clearly or cope with what was happening.

Agree with the Ruiz assessment he seemed confused. Probacant out that one down to heart but he showed it against klitschko.
I understand what you're getting at now I think.

Wasn't he caught on the temple? If that was the case it frazzles the brain and not many recover from that in a fight.
I think Joshua has heart but when hit he seems to take longer to recover as if his energy has been zapped

I think it was the side of his head. Round 3 not 2 as I said earlier.

Back of head and caused a concussion according to Joshua

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
Horrible knockout then in the Callum Wilson come back fight. His opponent went down and his left leg started shaking uncontrollably. Hope he’s ok.

Absolute joke. Can see Hatton getting better by the fights, but he lost that one.

At least Usyk now knows he won’t get a points decision at the Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium tonight.

I get what you mean, but he already knew didn't he, but its confirmation I suppose.
British fighters have been unlucky abroad as well, its a side of boxing I just can't agree with.

Campbell Hatton being on the card is bad enough.
Hes just no good and thats being nice.

Yup, that was a disgrace.

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
Joshua looks overly relaxed to me on the ring walk. Usyk looks focused. Joshua looks as though hes coming out to perform at a rock concert. Could mean nothing though.

Re: Usyk vs Joshua/Fury vs Wilder
1st rd to Usyk. Not much action though.

These adverts are doing my head in. I don't care about direct TV. I want to hear a bit in between rounds.

AJ looks ****ed.
