I’ve said you’ve got to recognise that we have three good central defenders and I can understand the reluctance to bring in better footballers who are more comfortable in possession, but that no longer applies. We have been told that the club intend taking action on the matter

Harris spotted that Flint and Morrison don't play well together and chose to keep Morrison in the side. Is Mick about to make Flint his choice and bring in McGuinness?

Or will he wait to see impact of Ralls coming back in? Part of the issue for the CB's is being too active in each game based on how they're performing as individuals and how they relate to players around them.

Hopefully this is the last game for a while where we're short of key personal so expectation should be that it's our worst performance for foreseeable future. Nice that RJK's had chance to cash-out and make some money I guess.

How long will he persist with the same line up?

Blackpool are 1-0 up at halftime, so we're now the only team in the championship not to have scored in the first half this season.

In fairness to Mick he has not been backed, been told to use kids whether he likes it or not.

He will be sacked soon and they'll bring in another bizarre appointment and not address the real issues at the club. Dalman and Choo sitting comfortably and the manager thrown under the bus.

I admire the optimistic outlook, but come on. The midfield has been useless but he continually picks the same one, Vaulks has been utter shite in the past 3 games but keeps his place and plays the majority of the games. Mick is stubborn, I'd be amazed if the back 3 against West Brom isn't the same one that started today (unless there's an injury)

I don't think some of the kids are good enough for what we want (flirting with promotion) and some of our senior players either haven't got it to start with or seem to be deteriorating at an alarming rate.

Some seem more than happy with it though. They'll manage to drag some positive out of the train wreck of this game.

I'm just surprised it's still being sang. It's an awful.song I thought it would have at least been stamped out on away trips where the fans are usually the same ones that make most trips. I don't think promotion was ever a realistic proposition this season tbh. I think a lot were hoping for a progression in playing style and a younger squad (two things we desperately need), but it's fairly obvious the first one ain't gonna happen and I can't imagine this style is ideal for developing young talent

With Vaulks coming in for injured Ralls, McGuiness getting a start when Morrison was injured and Collins starting the season to allow Moore to ease back in, it's only the GK that has started ever 90 minutes. Not sure "continually picks" can be said about anything this season except the formation.

Think our options are fairly limited until i) Ralls comes back or ii) Mick considers changing formation which restricts options elsewhere. We've taken a risk in choosing to play the season with a smaller squad, see poor use of parachute payments and not being able to sell players to generate income/remove wages from books as cause of this, which has been exposed predominantly because of covid absences, but this should be the bottom of this slump with key players coming back very soon.

I expect Ralls and Giles to come back for the next game, McGuiness to come in the game after results to pick up from that point. Every season there is a side that makes late charge for play-offs and (after disrupted pre-season and electing to go with youth) we're very much set up to be a second half side whether that's within 90 minutes of across the season. If things keep going this badly that might involve change of manager mind.
