Re: Bojo will be gone in 1 week
Few days to go.
Cummings may join the Labour Party or offer up a new picture.
Carrie might want a refurb or another baby .
I hear Dylan the dog is defecting due to so many kids and parties.
Love opposition politics.
Jezzer still out raging Brexiteer in .
All going so well.
Should be a landslide election .
😅

I think ur right on both counts. At least until this Sue Gray report. If that criticises him strongly then I think he'll lose support and face s challenge.
Long term the longer he stays in it turns into a positive slowly, as he becomes 'strong, resilient, powerful,' etc and has 2-3 years to turn polls round with a successful economy and all the rest
Really critical week coming.

The Sue Gray report won't pass judgement or make recommendations, it'll just be factual. This and that happened.
The question is, how much of it will make it into the public domain as it will be handed straight to Johnson first.

Yeah , fair point. I mean whether the facts damn him in themselves really.

I can't think of anybody who has clung on to power the way Boris is currently and then managed to reverse public opinion to end up a hero. I think your personal bias is clouding your opinion here.

apparently if he faces a vote of no confidence from the party, and he manages to defend it, then the rules stipulate that he can't face another one for 12 months.
if he managed to just squeak through and then had a further 12 months of damaging revelations he could hand it to Starmer on a plate

Police have submitted damning evidence apparently.

There's more in the vaults to damage him, that seems sure.

I hope the fact that just two of us have bothered posting anything about the latest revelations is not a sign that people are now just accepting these outrages with a shrug of their shoulders. Of course, with one or two exceptions, the Tories on here have closed their eyes, put their hands over their ears, said la, la, la and hoped the whole thing will go away, while, at the same time, finding fault continuously with Mark Drakeford, but I do find the lack of response from others odd.

Don't stress Bob it's being noted by those who have their eyes wide open.
Also take the positive that those who usually look at these events with a more nuanced angle or who are just plain twp have stopped defending the bumbling waste of spunk.
I'm actually disappointed nobody has sprung to his defence.

I Shouted with rage when I heard Lulu was at the birthday gathering. Bad joke aside each expose further demeans the office of PM in which the most unfit politician in my lifetime currently resides. Expect some excuses along the lines of "there was cake and candles but I didn't exhale" variety.

Re: Bojo will be gone in 1 week
I've seen someone say that Johnson can't be held responsible as it was a surprise party for him...

Can you imagine if Drakeford was having party after party along with the pathetic excuses.?
The Tories only have the interests of the Tory party.
Polls are what matter to them. The fact they are behond useless and treat the public with utter contempt means nothing.
You get what you vote for.
Its not just the bufoon the whole lot need to go.
The party is toxic and rotten to the core.
Its virtually every morning you wake up to a scandal or a feck up.

Why would a scandal involving some of them (giving a cake for someones birthday in this instance - clearly misjudged) mean that the whole lot need to go? Seems a strange logic, and also not going to happen.

It's not just "a" scandal, is it? There's been loads and I'd imagine more to come.

To be fair the gutless, sycophantic support these nonentities of Tory ministers serve up on behalf of the useless blob of blubber actually revolts me more than said lump of shite. It just screams of immoral phonies desperate to keep their jobs, huge incomes and cosy status.

I mean the entire 'partygate' scandal. i just mean, why would that mean everyone needs to go? Surely only those involved or who allowed it?

You're right there, only the ones involved should go. The rest can stay and share a car into work.

Cressida Dick just confirmed Met will be investigating Downing Street parties. It's heating up

Calm down. Drakeford's a party animal and has been having a right 'ol time these last 2 years.

Re: Bojo will be gone in 1 week
Serious question, why is there no petition for his resignation? I would love to see the numbers that it would reach. The world is looking at the U.K. and you look so weak as a country, I’ve never heard of a government **** up so much with no consequences. Laughing stock unfortunately

Frankly I think the rest of the world has more on it's plate than whether a few parties took place in Downing Street (and I am not trying to minimise the reaction in this country, the government has rightly been castigated here and I think Boris should have gone by now, I just don't think Englands Covid rules are a desperate concern to other countries).
Governments over the world have done far ,far worse than this.
Where are you from incidentally, not the UK presumably.
What on earth would a petition for his resignation achieve. Predictably his opponents woiuld say yes and just as predictably Tory MP'a would completely ignore it!!

its more the fact that he's a proven liar, completely unsuitable for the role he's in.
