Not sure. Are we allowed any more short term loans?

Expected he would be off, we brought back Watters and signed Hugill, all pointed towards this outcome.
Seems lowish fee but I think the 8 mil ive seen mentioned would have been stretching it. Clearly no one has come in with anything better than this offer.
He really has barely looked a 3.5m player this season and that doesn't help.
I suspect it will have potential future add ons.
Depending on your viewpoint you could say we're losing our most talented player and only good goal scoring striker in a decade who also plays for Wales. The other being we're losing a player who is 30 this year, only has one really good season at championship level, has been average when on the pitch this season and clearly isn't a team player and has sulked his way out of our club. I'll take the second viewpoint for the time being and see how he gets on at Bournemouth, this might no look so bad in a years time.
Bournemouth are also said to be close to a loan deal for Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell. They’re clearly going for it.

Wales striker Kieffer Moore is leaving Cardiff City for Championship promotion-chasers Bournemouth.
At least he can't score against us this season.
That's a fair point and I wonder if it has put some clubs off, especially given the amount of games he's missed with us. Several clubs - including Man Utd - have said they're factoring this into their recruitment policy from now on so it's not an unreasonable assumption.
Scott Parker getting by on a shoestring budget as ever!
If Covid Moore has a medical this morning he'll probably fail it.
Bournemouth play Peterborough, Derby and Reading in consecutive games in March. If Kieffer scores the winner in each of those he will have helped more than moping around with us.
Apparently the fee is £5m if Bournemouth go up.
He's gone from 20 goals in 42 appearances last year to 5 goals in 24, Covid twice and an ankle injury. It doesn't take a huge leap of faith to see why his value dropped.
not that impressed with either deal this morning tbh
I hope we aren't paying much in loan fees for these deals. it is all very short sighted
the fee for Moore is way too low, it is going to cost a lot more to get in a decent replacement in the summer.
the loan move for surridge is also pointless, we have hughill, Collins, watters, Davies, and Harris and we typically play 2 up front.
I'm not sure he's going to play that much, wouldn't we be better off keeping the money until the summer?
I agree but if Wolves and Bournemouth won't budge on the valuation, it isn't going to get higher in the summer, it'll be much lower. I'm assuming it is 5m provided they go up.
Re Surridge, I'd have rather we signed a wing back if Ng is going to play inside, or even a mobile CB but we've got 13 games in 45 days. We need all hands on deck to get through that. We're playing 2 games a week for a month and a half!
Said before. If he wasn't the Wales striker the general consensus would be we'd want to be shot of him. Funny thing is, if we do qualify for the WC then he'll be available for that for sure. Not my kind of striker and not impressed with him this season. As you mentioned just now, the priority is to stay up. Rebuilding and the rest can happen in the summer. I don't like the sheer number of loanees we'll have to rely on to do it as they're a sticking plaster.
But that's just the way it is now and on the plus side, I saw players busting a gut in the City shirt yesterday. The first time this season at home.
Logic would indicate that transfer fees are not objective, they are a factor of the amount a buying team is willing to spend and the amount a selling club will be happy to get.
Bearing in mind we're talking about a player who has had a single good season at this level, is hitting 30, doesn't fit the style of play we're going to, has had covid several times this season along with "ankle issue", fired his agent to move to agency looking to move him on, will be in the last year of his contract next season and has been woeful this season when he has actually played - not to mention lack of interest in him from other clubs.
The question therefore is how on earth can you say, will all of that, £3.5m is "too low", what exact leverage do we have to demand more money? Should we turn the deal down, keep him on the books, costing us money whilst not playing / putting in minimal effort only to then leaving for nothing next summer?
If the situation was reversed and we were buying Moore bearing in mind everything stated above, people would be complaining £3.5m was too much!
Should he go to Bournemouth, it'll be for the money; his last "big" contract, content to sit on the bench backing up Solanke - and if they got promoted, I'd not be surprised if they then sold him, as imo he'd be exposed in the Prem.
Probably the right move for club and player. If he was performing like last season I'd have been gutted to lose him. His heart hasn't been in it this year though! Even when he has played he hasn't put much effort in, much more excited to see what huggill and Davies can do for the rest of the year
On his performance/attitude this season should we be surprised that his valuation has plummeted? To be honest I'm surprised anyone is interested in him at all!
Hasnt contributed this season. Missed games with injury covid. Hes let us down.
Glad hes gone.
