How do you work that one out? No member of any party would support the (supposedly illegal) sacking of hundreds of workers and replacement with cheaper agency (supposedly largely foreign) Labour.
If any party did support such actions - and the dont - such an accusation could be thrown at all parties.

If you are struggling to understand why only British employees were sacked without notice by DP World and P&O Ferries, here's Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab to provide some clarification. https://t.co/dvGen2dQvp https://twitter.com/Cromwell606/stat...GX49tEPVCQeHHw

So you don’t agree that Tory leaning people would be the ones most likely to support the stripping away of workers’ rights.
Re: Anyone using P and O Ferries this summer?
Another piece by James Wales’ favourite political columnist for him to read. This one is about P and O with some interesting Linked In opinions about that tosser in the video - seems like a dyed in the wool socialist to me.

For someone who claims not to be a Tory you don't half jump to their defence a lot

Even Tory MP'S are in rage about this .
This is about a nasty company finding a loophole.
No right minded person thinks it is right whoever they vote for .
It's got bugger all to do with Brexit , Evil Boris , or Scum Tories it's about a company that was once decent ,been taking over by some ****witt that had some standing in the world once but has now fallen from grace, and no longer has any decency .

No it's ironic many employers were doing this by taking advantage of free movement in order to go over the heads of British workers and bus in much cheaper foreign workers

Is this thread going to moved too?

Good spot, but the employees aren't employed by a boat.

I do wonder if the bigger picture is also being missed here. It's disgusting what the sacked staff have had to put up with , but surely an even bigger question revolves around the fact that this company are still in charge of some of our most vital freight infrastructure. They don't seem to be fit and proper to run british ports, would like to see them pushed out

No it isnt. No loophole. They just did the cost/benefit analysis and decided to drive a coach and horses through the employment law requirements because some halfwit told them that was the best approach
They knew it was wrong and knew the cost, they just figured it was one worth paying. (See also: Putin; sanctions)
They are wrong ( see also: Putin; sanctions). Many b2c business and many b2b businesses are changing the way they do stuff like this. They cost in public perception and reputational damage and increasingly, they actually want to display morality at a corporate level. This cuts across environmental policy, employment, tax strategy etc. It's not just lip service, this sort of thing is embedded in corporate culture in a way that it just wasn't a decade ago.
