Didn’t Nandor Hidegkuti, the great Hungarian, precede Revie as a deep lying centre forward ?

Foden was pretty good in the role last season.

It's a tie I reckon.
Both played the position in the mid-1950s.
Revie was the man for me. I saw him play in that role.
I only saw the Hungarians play in grainy newsreels.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Is there a game on? No comments on here, BBC stuck on 7 minutes. What’s occurring?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
There's just been a couple of shots
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
86% possession after 35 mins. according to BBC!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
The BBC match page was down for 25 minutes (Minute 7 to 32).
Cardiff shots are well into double figures.

Goal. Nelson with a poor pass to Campbell and Pompey intercept high up the pitch. The ball is played to Pigott and he bundles the ball into the bottom corner.
0-1

Nelson is utter garbage. Not even good enough for league two.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
0 - 2 (pen) FFS.
Nelson having a bad week!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Penalty! Nelson brings down a Pompey forward.
0-2
Jeezers....bloody Nelson....
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
When these draws are made, why don’t they just give the opposition a bye? It would prevent needless journeys, expense and the utter farce of pretending to give a damn.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
To be fair we've been shit so far. No quality in final 3rd. Portsmouth have defend deep, and look solid. Not sur the keeper has had a save to make. Safe to say much of our first team and squad are 1st Division quality at best.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
0-2 FFS! Who gave away the penalty.

Nelson proving he's not much more than a liability.

I didn’t contemplate going for one second tonight. It would have been a complete shock if they’d even forced extra time.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Way to many changes, easy to say now I guess but how often does this many changes work for us.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
I did think about going to my first cup game for a fair few years but thought better of it. It's largely been the same shit since 2012.

I should say so, it’s straight to penalties this season.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Got to be the last time we ever see nelson play for us, a positive eh?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Pathetic, SM won't last long at this rate.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
It's embarrassing, League cup game or not.
0-3 at home to a poor team, and one we should not be losing to at home, at least not by 3 goals!

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 0 - 3 PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Utter garbage.
No good passing the ball around if you have no idea what to do with it. No penetration at all.
Can't wait to see him blame Colwill for this.
