Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Thats a good chance for Harris there and should really be doing better. I think Blackburn will eventually run away with this game once they settle now
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
And that's why Gavin Whyte doesn't play more. What a shit touch.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Whyte
Great work from Harris
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Pitch is awful. Whyte needed to hit that 1st time. At home we pressed this lot and they continually fecked up. Today we are sitting off them. This is pretty poor.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We've actually had the three best chances .....
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
First touch of a number of our players is so poor.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Also been meaning to write this on here for a while but I genuinely believe this poor form comes down to the players being simply not good enough. Maybe a different manager would get slightly more out of some of them but the majority of our players, especially attacking ones are just simply not good enough for championship football.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Why doesn’t Mark Harris ever watch the ball when it’s hit in the air to him? I’ve never seen a player not watch the ball at all. He just watches the defender every bloody time. I know sometimes yo might fancy the second ball, but please for once just look at the ball!!!

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Simpson is a very lucky boy
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Decent looking crowd but atmosphere is awful...... Simpson needs to be careful now....
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
WTF Simpson?? We should be down to 10.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
They have no clue once near the opposition box.
So static and lacking any guile
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Jaw droppingly awful football from both sides
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We have no presence in the box. Our set pieces are shocking. We have no threat.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If this was at a local park you’d walk away. We are so bad, it seems anything we do of note is a bonus.

Lass on radio 5 says we are threatening on the counter attack ?

Weve just had a good move. Ralls put Robinson through shot on tight angle should have squared it. O Dowda is playing well.

The pitch is poor. The football is poorer. The division is worse still.

i swear we could miss an open goal from five yards
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Well at least we have had a shot on target 🎯
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Horrible playing surface. Ruining any chance of a good game.
Mind you City still in this at half time. Blackburn look a bit fragile at back, we need to handle these long balls better.

That one evens up his red card at QPR. He was unlucky at Loftus Road. He should have been dismissed today.

Happy New Year!

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
How on earth are Blackburn 3rd?
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
0-0 is fair. Blackburn fans not happy with their team.
We are working hard. Cant criticise the effort we just have very little quality.

They're playing in the 2022/23 renewal of the Championship. The standard is abysmal.

You’re old enough to have seen entertaining games played on worse surfaces than this. The pitch isn’t great, but it doesn’t excuse the poor football from both sides.

Mark Harris is like a blue bottle. Annoying, works hard to piss you off but he’s not going to hurt you.

And he’s not the worst player in our front 3, which says a lot

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Davies has to come on for Whyte at some stage.

I’d say Sang, NG, Simpson, Wintle, Whyte and Harris could all easily play League 1

For me NG and Wintle are two of our better performers, they wouldn’t be short of championship offers if they left. The others I agree.

Ng and Wintle I think would go to other clubs at this level if we released them tomorrow.
not sure about any of the others
