Yep, squeaky bum time.
No score forecast from me. Anything can happen, but usually a Jacks win. That would be a disaster for us.
Fingers very tightly crossed.

More than that we really need to press their defence and him high up the pitch but plenty of crosses into the box for sure.
Pity our set plays are terrible.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Match Facts:
- Cardiff have lost their last two home league matches against Swansea City - they've never lost three in a row before.
- Swansea City have won their last three league meetings with Cardiff - it's the longest winning run by either team in this fixture in the Football League.
- Cardiff's Sabri Lamouchi is looking to become only the third Bluebirds manager this century to win his first league match against Swansea - the others are Malky Mackay (1-0 in November 2013) and Mick McCarthy (1-0 in March 2021).
- Swansea City have had the most build-up attacks (141) and sequences of 10 or more open play passes (668) in the Championship this season. Indeed, it is over 100 more buildup attacks than opponents Cardiff have managed (39) and 472 more sequences of 10+ open play passes than the Bluebirds (196).
- Only Burnley (13) have scored more goals from outside the box in the Championship than Cardiff this season (10), with 47.8% of the shots attempted by the Bluebirds coming from outside the box (211/441), the highest percentage by a team in a Championship season since Derby in 2018-19 (48.1%, excl. play-offs).

Anyone think Ralls will start?
He's giving me the impression he is going to start, watching the preview on YouTube.

Perhaps he will start in place of O’Dowda who will probably make the bench.

If he does start, I hope he doesn't lose his head and get red-carded... any of our players for that matter.
He is similar to how Will Vaulks was in that respect, always looking like the red mist might get the better of him.

Midfield is better without him.
He's another grafter.
McGuinness sounds like a leader...give it to him.

I really think McGuinness would respond well to being given the captaincy. For some the position is a burden, others thrive on it, I think McGuinness would be the latter.

His performances have been better since coming back as well.
Ralls isn't going to play as much, and I think McGuinness is a better option than Wintle as well.
He's never going to be a defensive maestro with skill on the ball, but he does what needs doing.. defending.
Give it to him, hope it's enough for him to stay.

Hoping 2 nil but I predict 1-1, Stroud winding the crowd up with his ineptitude.

Left wing back if ODowda isn’t fit maybe.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
We have to press the **** out of them today. Previous managers have allowed swansea time and space, and that's where they can play around us. Hard work and force them, make them do things quicker, don't give them a chance to think, and get the ****ing fans right on it from the start.

This has to be the way doesn’t it. Press high, don’t let them get comfortable playing their usual game. Confuse them, unsettle them and let them know they’re not dictating today.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Get stuck into them
They don't like it up em that lot
We don't play a lot of football
They don't like getting dirty

^^^ this!
Force them into making lots of back-passes to their 'less than secure' keeper.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Over 28,000 expected. Guess I better get going. C'mon City, it must be our turn.
First of 8 games this month.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Pretty negative midfield.
Mind you, I've disliked his selections before and been wrong.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Etete not in the squad - maybe still carrying the Rotherham knock?
Sawyers and Romeo still jet lagged?
Philogene and O'Dowda as wing backs with Ojo off Kaba?
A grafting midfield to start with not much creativity.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
I suppose Sawyers is tired, I'm surprised Wickham isn't starting. I don't see much of a goal threat in that team. We'll see.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Let's hope none of ours get sent off, again. It's going to be a tight one.

Kaba is our main goal threat so let's hope he does the business today.
Come on City.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Not surprised that Philogene at WB but we will miss Sawyers in the middle. Expecting Ojo to press is like me going all night with the Mrs. Couldn't even do that in my prime.

Dear god.
Right, goals in the 91st and 92nd minutes to win it.
