We could go on a ten game winning run and some would be complaining about the lack of goals from midfield or some other such cobblers
Bulut and his side have hit a slump but its not the end of the world

I love it when we do well. I get concerned when we struggle as we are and look for reasons.

It's no more complicated than having not a great deal of money to spend and the cruel mistress called football ⚽

Of course it is more complex than that. Teams with little money to spend can do well, while teams spending huge amounts can flop badly.
You have been openly critical of recent performances and that's right. How does a side hovering around the top 6 have such a drop off in form and performance level? We were where we were on merit. The starting line ups against Bristol and Huddersfield are virtually the same as they are now, but the performances were hugely different. What's gone wrong? Is it that we've been found out? If it's the money thing, why were we much more successful, even without Ramsey until recently?
A few results not going our way, fair enough. But the difference is chalk and cheese. If we keep up these performances until the end of the season we'll be dragged right into the relegation mix. It's as crap as last season and the one before, where the start of the season we looked as good at times as when we've been challenging for promotion.

You admit yourself we are struggling, is it wrong for fans to be concerned? Bulut is the manager he has a squad of professional footballers who are playing like a Sunday league side. Warnock would have sorted it out.

You make an interesting point, there.
Back in our promotion season we lost 4 on the spin around Christmas time, dropping us out of the automatic promotion places, then drew 0-0 at home with Mansfield. We then won 32 points out of 36, not losing a league game for over 3 months, and that gave us enough to have a wobble at the end, to stay above a rampant Fulham side.

Some folk do indeed come across as having a sense of schadenfreude when we are struggling.
We all know the parameters that Bulut has had to work with not only during the summer transfer window, but also the players that he inherited.
As another poster mentioned, we have hit a wall right now. That could be down to the efforts that have been put in over the few first months, the lack of rotational options but more likely a combination of both (including injuries).
I’m confident that a few players will be brought in and we will progress.
This last month we have looked nothing short of awful, it’s impossible to deny…but we need to remember that we were amongst the favourites to go down.
There is no way on earth that we are going down. I’d say it’s more likely that we finish top 6 than go down.

To be fair to Kav, he did the business in the Championship as well and he played a lot in the Premier League for Wigan.
As for the current slump, there’s always a chance of something like this happening at a club that favours perspiration over inspiration to the degree that we have over the past decade or so. Our lack of what I’d call proper footballers in midfield is costing us dear currently.Siopis, although an improvement on what we had, still only really offers more of the same.

Wtf are you talking about ?
Kav was a midfield general , buzzing around box to box
Breaking up play , making things happen , free kicks , the lot
That's the sort of midfielder I am talking about , at this level
Not rambo , he's very much just behind the front two

Re: Bulut, Bulut, sort it out!
So far in this thread we’ve had calls from Sludge for players like Peter Thorne, Graham Kavanagh and Chris Barker.
As good a player as they were for the time they played for us 20 years ago ffs. Mainly in the 3rd tier.
The man hasn’t got a fecking scooby about football. It’s embarrassing.

Kavanagh was hardly a midfield general. I remember some thinking he was a bit powderpuff at times. He needed a strong tackler alongside him.

Kav was the complete box to box player
He was the epitome of a midfield general
If he went on a run Boland or Bonner were there to sit deep
This is the sort of player we need
Ramsey is a luxury and not the same sort of player
Speed , power , swashbuckling style of play .......breaking up play , astute passing , goals from free kicks .....Mr Graham Kavanagh

We need a jack of all trades in that middle ......a championship equivalent of kav , gazza , Gerrard
That sort of player
Now go down strikers and play darts

Gazza and Gerrard weren't even the same type of player, while any comparison between Gazza and Kavva is akin to comparing George Best and Cohen Griffith.

Check out "The Best of Saint and Greavsie" on ITV4 last weekend. They had a good bit about Gazza from the late 80s on there.

In order for bulut to sort it out ......he needs to go and sign a play maker who can chip in with goals
That's what kav did , it's what gazza did , it's what Gerrard did
Different levels but the same sort of player
It's so easy to see and the team is crying out for it
That's the answer to your question 🙋
Now get on with it

Wins the ball in the middle then a great run to bang the header in
Ricky Scimicea type stuff
The winner is just class finishing
I saw Kav create and score goals like this .....an absolute wallop on the volley up at wolves
That's the sort of player we have been missing for years and whilst colwill may or may not come good this is where the promised land lies
