Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
Anyway, I'm watching FA Cup Live which switches from game to game. It's quite exciting. Newport just had a decent chance.

And Brooks and Moore playing that makes them Cup tied

I expect this to be a good one, 2-2.
I expect some upsets in other games too maybe Stoke, QPR and Wimbledon
Bubble games are for a reason, it’s hard enough being a copper in this day and age, without having to baby sit football knuckle heads.

The Metro would have been chaotic this morning had it not been a bubble. Still would have been a mix of fans, crossing paths, though making their way to the pick up point or to the pubs near the ground, many Sunderland & Newcastle fans live in the same localities. Be interesting to see if anything unfolds throughout the day.

....and ANOTHER one conceded by playing out from the back....2-3 to Bournemouth

Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
Eastleigh score a penalty to equalize against Newport. Rodney Parade is such a sad ground.
-
Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
Watford come back from 0-1 to 2-1 in the 95th minute. I feel sorry for Chesterfield.
-
Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
I just found out that QPR have lost in the 3rd round 51 times. More than any other team.

Remember about 12/13 yrs ago, it was looking a real possibility that we could have faced Swansea in the play off final at Wembley.
That had disaster written all over it .

Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
Outside of the FA cup. Can’t be much fun for any Carlisle fans travelling home from Exeter today 😢
-
Re: FA Cup weekend / Sunderland Newcastle
See Norrington-Davies played today, good news for Wales.

Not as bad as the 8000 miles round trip some French Caribbean side made to play Lille in the French cup today and lost 12-0

Discrimination or what?!!

For all the talk about Wrexham and certain players (Mullin in particular), they really are a poor watch. They bizarrely seem to have used their money to sign workhorses. It may work in non-league and League 2, but they'll need a rethink if they have any aspirations of reaching the Championship

Re: FA Cup weekend fixtures
Great away efforts from Bristol City to draw at West Ham, Bolton to draw at Luton and Blackpool to draw at Forest.
Three away replays the Premier League sides would not have wanted.
Wurzels took 9,000 to West Ham.

Re: FA Cup weekend fixtures
Why on earth are Arsenal playing in white at home??
Interesting that most higher teams are playing almost full strength teams....(cough...)
-
Re: FA Cup weekend fixtures
I noticed also that the Arsenal players don't have their name son the shirts!?

It's to do with a strangely named campaign i.e. 'No More Red', which is about safeguarding young people - and which is presumably about sparing blood in respect of violent crime.

Scousers 1 nil up through an OG.
Arsenal suckered punched after being very wasteful of their many chances.
Bit like us yesterday? :hide:

Sludge would pay much more than to get access to women for a season.
