If players like NG have been playing with minor knocks for some weeks, why can’t they carry on for a further 2 weeks to the end of the season when they have May, June and July to recover before the new season begins.
So you think there is a conspiracy with Leeds, Leicester, Ipswich & us to throw this game, or just the Manager and the Medical team in the pocket of one of those mentioned?
Brian Tuohy ( https://www.thefixisin.net/ ) does some great stuff on this, mainly US sports. Lots of whacky sh1t, some very real, and others large leaps but i wouldn't write him off is you can read with a critical mind.

Ok, let’s say to play more purposely then.

I don't know. it's more the way Martin has his teams playing. They could end up dancing around us, although they would do that to the senior pros as well. I just wouldn't want to see a young player get absolutely battered in public. On the other hand, it could be the making of some of them, opportunity and all that.

I know it's not good to chuck young players in the depend but given our Injuries and the fact game has nothing on it for us I don't think we've anything to lose. Neither has the player.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Cardiff are 8/1 to win today.
I was just about to stick £20 on Southampton but it isn't worth it

8/1? Wow
I was just going to say I think Southampton Will bottle it today. Everyone expects them to win easily but they will bottle it. Us having injuries is good if it forces bulut to actually do something different so I'm more positive knowing some of the younger ones will have to play.
2 1 city.

I admire your optimism. Can't see a City win myself (I rarely do anyway). But, as you say, freshening up the team is perhaps no bad thing. Ng hasn't been playing well of late, neither has Wintle. Will give Romeo, Turnbull and Colwill a chance to see what they can do, as well as a couple of youngsters.

Exactly the injury list is long but none of them are playing very well anyway. All for likes of colwill Ashford and turnbull starting and Will give us a better chance of winning.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
My guess is
Horvath
Romeo
Goutas
Phillips
Ralls
Siopis
Turnbull
Tanner
Colwill
Meite
Diedhiou
Collins in for Ralls if fit, maybe Ashford ahead of Tanner
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Horvath; Romeo, Goutas, Phillips, Ralls; Siopis, Turnbull; Tanner, R. Colwill, Ashford; Meite
Subs: Turner, Wintle, Sawyers, Diedhiou, J. Colwill, Conte, Lawlor, Antwi, Giles

I like it. Almost positive in the circumstances.
We will get murdered, but I like it.

10/11 not bad.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
He's going to play Tanner at left back, not Ralls, I feel it.

I was thinking pretty much the same! Hopefully we can play some good stuff and at least run them close.

The BBC shows Tanner at left back

That's a winning team.

Marking David Brookes then🤔

I assumed we were playing 3 at the back with wingbacks. It'll be interesting to see how they line up.

Should have put some money on that :hehe:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Looks like the usual formation with Tanner left back, Colwill wide and Turnbull at 10
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Meite finally had a chance to run into space and the ball gets stuck under his feet, how predictable.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
So far so good. Great ball by Tanner in. Good counter attack too, but one on one Meite trips over and cocks it up and trips over his own boot. Rubbish.
Romeo is looking good. Nice and aggressive

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Was about to say we’re playing alright and I’m interested to see what the youngsters can do
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Poor goal really, Romeo should have done better, Havorth should have done better?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Why do players do the shush celebration when they’re not getting special treatment or anything
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Then Rome allowed the dreaded cutting inside insteadof pushing him ourside. Don’t understand why full backs do thatif you have tall defenders - force the cross and don’t give them sight of goal.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Difference between a top Championship striker and what we have on display there, been coming and Adams should have made it 2

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Tanner is playing very well to be fair to him
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Turnball gotta score. We’re playing some good stuff

19 minutes in and Meite isn’t pressing nor sprinting. Just jogging around. What a lazy shit he is.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
I think Turnbull has looked bright.
The defence have been shocking.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
If we had played with this kind of attacking intent the whole season at home think Bulut would have a lot more supporters
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.
Ralls has been excellent.

Ralls, Tanner and Ashford have been excellent so far- not sure what Turnbull has contributed other than missing what looked an excellent opportunity.

We are playing ok going forward but we could easily be 4-0 down.

Surprising bulut doesn't play more youngsters. Even if we got hammered people would applaud him and the team for having a go.
