Oasis to play the Principality Stadium?
https://nation.cymru/culture/oasis-t...-leaked-image/
10 shows at Wembley apparently
I bought the tickets to see sabbath reform in 1998
And they were good but we thought that was it as they looked tired
When they came back for more I wasn't interested
And Kiss in 1997 were great , original line up but again looking jaded and a bit past it
They have continued to tour since then but again I wasn't interested
Not my genre but they have some great songs. Love Supersonic.
If it's good enough for the Spice girls then it's good enough for Oasis. They are doing it for the fans it's not about the money.
First ever gig back together in cardiff then.
I saw them at Maine Road in 1996 - great concert, but I have zero interest in seeing them again. I can see why anyone who likes them who was too young to have seen them at the time might want to go though.
OASIS! OASIS!
I first saw them in 1994. At a bar in Philadelphia. I still think their first record is amazing. But it all went downhill from there.
bollocks
top bands I've seen this year:
Snapped Ankles
English Teacher
Young Fathers
October Drift
The Candys
Damefrisor (absolutely superb)
TVAM
Magic Shoppe
there's loads of quality to be found if you are prepared to get out of the musical toilet that is Cardiff
weird fact:
The album cover for Be Here Now shows a car in a swimming pool.
I have thrown a paper aeroplane over that pool! :hehe:
I was on one of those useless "team building events" at Stocks Country club, ; we had to write down instructions for a colleague to fold paper into an aeroplane, and then throw said aeroplane over that pool. Mine went furthest so I won a bottle of cheap plonk, which was undrinkable.
Attachment 6260 Don’t bother booking overpriced tickets for a naff stadium gig….go see these instead!
Next Tuesday at The Moon Cardiff. Are they better than Oasis? Definitely/Maybe….although that album was pretty good!
It's probably not ok to say this but there is no doubt in my mind that 60's music was the best. It conveys the sense of excitement and optimism for the future which prevailed at the time, with the associated feel-good factor which is in complete contrast to the present day. It is impossible to explain to anyone who wasn't around in the 60's (or was too young at the time) the impact that the music had - such a contrast to the crooners of the 1950's for example!
The 60s saw the rise several genres, including rock, pop, folk, soul, R&B, and jazz. This diversity allowed for a wide variety of sounds and styles and also saw a surge in musical experimentation and introduced new sounds, such as psychedelic rock, folk rock, and Motown.
Interesting that you should say that about about kids today also enjoying 60's music. We have a couple of 60's compilation CDs in our car and our teenage grandchildren enjoy listening to them and to us singing along. Well, they say they do.....!
never heard of them but gave ladies hairdressers a try was like listening to Terry hall in another type of music.
Magic shoppe. Starting to see the music style you like
English Teacher , not bad
Snapped ankles Bit different
haven't tried the rest but a nice list Cheers
now this is just silly. No one is saying that Oasis haven't sold records, but quantity doesn't always mean quality. Regardless, music is subjective, one mans meat is another man's poison. As has been said, Definitely Maybe, Whats the story and Masterplan were superb pieces of music, thereafter their output was music by numbers, chewing gum for the ears on a par with Steps and Keane.
my list of bands was in response to their not being anything worth listening to today. there is plenty out there, music has never been so accessible and it is easy to find.
:hehe: ....just messing with you! https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...o-honey-34458/
That sh*t heavy Baroque of the late 1600s was never as good as the dope stuff of the late 1500s. F*cking youth of yesterday.

Useless can't believe the hype, how many tickets can you buy?
Easy money to sell them on surely?
Capitalism is alive and kicking!
