Jon, MAGA is centered on the same demographic as the Brexit voters in the UK. That's why you'll come across a lot of them in rural rather than metropolitan areas.

McConnell did what he could with the Supreme Court justices; would Ted Cruz, for example if he'd been the republican president at the time, have had the same force as Trump to get Kavanaugh and others elected? Maybe, but I'm not sure.
That's why he's taking the credit for it, as without him it may not have happened at all. Are we going to say that Trump had nothing to do with January 6th because he didn't storm it himself? Maybe Bush and Blair are blameless for the Iraq war as, after all, they didn't actually take part in any missions.
