Stupid booking by Chambers

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Out of the relegation zone. Portsmouth aren't winning anything on the pitch apart from most kick-offs.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
This is just more evidence of how useless Bulut was

Absolutely agree

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Since 2000 we haven't scored more than 9 goals in two consecutive home matches, the last being the 2003/04 season when we put 4 past Derby and 5 past Gillingham in consecutive games. Our record is 14 goals in 2 games in early 1932, when we put 9 past Thames and 5 past Exeter.

Turnbull is like a new signing.

Indeed. It's incredible how a change of manager has given them that confidence.

Perhaps the loss of the old one more than the 'arrival' of the new one.

I think that has had an effect, possibly, but Riza has to be doing something right as well. The turnaround has been quite something.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Let’s hope we don’t sit back and invite them back in like we’ve been doing for ever….

That comes with the change of manager as well.

Not arguing with that. Riza is doing fine.I only meant just the absence of Bullut must be a relief to the players.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
How many injuries have they had

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread

Good stuff again overall so far. Only criticism would be a bit of sloppiness in front of goal. Should really be out of sight already.

As if a cardiff city side would ever do that!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
We look so threatening, it's a joy to watch them at the moment, but we need to take these chances.

Imagine if he was someone people had heard of who came in post bulut and got this turnaround. People would be going mental about him and would be worried man city may poach him when pep leaves!!

Things gone downhill a bit since the substitutions? Riza did well today overall but still a learning curve on second half subs?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Superb.
Looking forward to the real test on Saturday :ayatollah:
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Being picky, should have scored more, but great to see us creating so many chances, getting another clean sheet and picking up another 3 points.

was always likely to really, and the subs weren't terrible, they were like for like changes, just the game had gone a bit flat at that point

It's a phenomenal turnaround from what City have been producing over the last few seasons. Makes Bulut's remarks about not taking opportunities even more farcical.
Outstanding performance tonight, with Goutas, Tanner and of course Colwill different class.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PORTSMOUTH. Match thread
Riza deserves huge credit. Exciting times.
I feel if we had a good youngster come through now they may well play. For the last decade or more i hadnt felt like that.
