He's gone back to not being strong on the ball and/or making the right decisions.
Could be tiredness. Could be one eye on Wales.
Either way, I'd still start him every single game because he's the only real hope we have.

I think he's just a player who will never reach peak condition in his playing career. He's young, but has looked tired these last few games.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Tanner ball watching and not much effort tracking back for their goal, El Ghazi very poor 45 mins

Yup, fine lines and all that.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
No comments about Turnbull & Robertson? Both getting bypassed and totally ineffective. They’re so far forward we’re basically playing with a front six. Huge spaces in front of Daland & Goutas. I’m all for Riza’s style but we have to accept consequences of no defensive midfielder.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Meite on at the half again, this time for El Ghazi.

Cantwell is a similar kind of player but he looked a class above Colwill in that half.
We've got no threat in the 6 yard box- the only way we're going to score is from a shot outside the area.

Same here. Without a striker we are going nowhere.
I'm not sure what Colwill is supposed to do with nobody making runs or showing to the ball for him. As shite as Kanga and Meite are, I think they'd look better up front than this no-headed monster he seems to be trying to make work.

I strongly disagree that anyone could advocate Kanga being on the pitch.
He's never even so much as managed to get grass stains on his his shorts in the time he's been with us!

Millwall currently 1-up away to Stoke, and now 4th in the table.

NG and Daland again. Both have been dogshite defensively.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Who would everyone prefer then?
Mowbray?
Bilic?
Robins?
Lowe?
Jones?

Bilic and Jones would be a recipe for disaster imo.

One of the top 3 please. Not going to change much without a striker though I fear.

back to normal service then...

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
I don’t think I ever recall us going into an international break on a good run, looked like we might this time, but after weds (look how bad Luton really are today) and today we are definitely back to usual scenario. Shite

Maybe try defending instead of raising your hand for offside?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Think quite a few on this board owe Chambers a bit of an apology. Daland has looked totally lost.

Should be fined for switching off like that. We are a soft touch. We don't get tight enough and when we do we're getting roughed up.

Can we try Will Fish before going back to Chambers :hide:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Didn't deserve anything from this. Club has a right problem on their hands now with the managerial appointment.
If we can get ourselves to 25 points by the January window we should be alright if we can get strikers in, but relying on one man is a massive problem.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
We had a good spell in the game.
But just atrocious defending before and after that spell.
Ah well.
It's the hope that kills you blah blah blah
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
Huffed and puffed second half but haven't posed any real threat. Blackburn much the better side.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
We were unbelievably lethargic first half but that referee was unspeakably bad. I could have sat in the pub with a blindfold on and done a better job than him!

I agree with you with the club's managerial problem.
Two games ago, I thought Riza was nailed on. The last two games we have shown our weak underbelly again.

And that will possibly be that for Mr. Riza.

Two poor performances in a week but Riza deserved some more time after the significant improvement in the previous games.
We look lost without a striker though and if Robinson is not fit I’m not sure what the answer is but I know it isn’t Willock Meite or Kanga.
Not sure what has happened to Daland, he looked so impressive on his debut but was all over the place today and no idea what Ng was playing at for most of the game.
A lot of possession but not in any area to hurt Blackburn

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 3 BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
We really need a striker. It was telling today, we had lots of the ball but no end product.
El Ghazi should be dropped, he was awful first half.
I don't think we were as bad as some were saying but defensively we were poor.
-
Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 3 BLACKBURN ROVERS. Match thread
It’s that bloody Trump to blame, we’ve gone to pot since he won

They lost their last three games.
They hadn't scored in 7 hours.
It's their first away win of the season.
The game was over before half time
