What exactly am I supposed to be angry about?

I only buy my season tickets , I don't actually buy or sell any players, I am not responsible for the debt or who it is owed to .
I wouldn't go into Morrisons and tell the local manager how to run his business if I was as unhappy as some of the posters on here .I would stop going there...
And I did take a break from CCFC because I was no longer enjoying it .
I like the way we are playing at the moment ,I like most of the new additions , its great to see so many youngsters coming through and still be entertaining .

So yeah , I am OK with the way the club is being run, unless you get 10,000 on your march on Saturday I would say so are in the minority. They just come along watch the football, be happy or sad dependent on the result and go home.

The majority will go to the game on Saturday because they want to. They won’t give a rats arse about some have baked protest..

You can disagree with the motives behind the march (I’ve paid little attention to it because it sounds too much like a Sam Hammam production to me and by, apparently, turning down the opportunity to meet with the club thay showed they weren’t interested in looking for answers with the likes of Tan, Dalman and Choo) and still be frustrated and angry at how the huge opportunity of having a multi millionaire/billionaire in charge has been wasted and that no one at the top seems to learn from their mistakes.

I watched Omer Riza’s pre game interview yesterday where he was asked about Rocco Simic and, like Erol Bulut before him, he appeared to know little about the player - seems he is training with the first team occasionally, but he’s with the under 21s most of the time prompting the question why on earth did we sign him? We went into the last transfer window (and the two or three before that one) needing a first team quality striker and an injection of real pace into the squad and, once again, came out of it with neither - it would be laughable if it was happening at any other club.

You say people come out of games either happy or sad, well, if they’re in the majority who only go to home matches, they haven’t come out happy much with what is now a fifth straight season of mostly.abysmal home performances and results - any youngster who has had their first experience of watching City since fixtures restarted after Covid and has become a proper supporter of the club deserves a medal given how much dross they’ve had to watch.

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water

The “fans” really are protesting about the results. There wouldn’t be a protest if we were 4th from top rather than 4th from bottom.

Of course the way we have run our club has had an effect on our league position, but there isn’t anything malicious from Tan compared to some of the other clubs owners

I can understand why fans want to protest.

If we were a well run club and 4th in the table the huge majority would be happy.

However we are a complete shambles with the board making the same mistakes time and again and not being held to account forcefully by fans groups or the press.

However the fact that the organisers only seem allowed to put details on one forum or want to put it on one forum is really poor particularly when some fans say Tan has divided the fans base.

I've seen fans on there moaning about Tan unwilling to sell to Sam.

As if Sam Hammam could buy and successfully run us.😂

From day 1 with Tan there has been no consensus amongst fans.

So it is no surprise, and slightly ironic, that when people decide it’s time to protest there is no unified voice or objective.

I have no idea if anyone is trying to manipulate/exploit the situation, but it is certainly ripe for that to happen.

Theres a fundamental dichotomy at CCFC. The club is abysmally run from top to bottom and could benefit with a change of owner, but the current owner bankrolls a club that loses money hand over fist and replacing him could mean ending up with an owner who is skint or at worst, an opportunistic asset stripper.

Also Tan could reasonably say that under his stewardship, we played in the top division for the first time in 50, albeit in spite of the way he runs the club not because of it. Thats why I think the protest will not achieve a great deal.

Also I would say that if you do want to get rid of an owner, the experience of Blackpool, Charlton etc. shows that the odd march here and there just wont cut it. You need to be prepared for boycotts, direct action to disrupt games and youd better be prepared to be in it for the (very) long haul.

My opinion is after the news of the manager's father passing away; any protest would be in poor taste tomorrow.

I can think of one poster on here who could possibly sport a placard emblazoned with the slogan 'The End is Nigh'.

Not many people are going to the protest but they will claim anyone walking to the game was on the protest.

It's a ridiculous protest as they are protesting demanding tan sells the club. The only evidence they have hes refusing to is AA saying he knows as fact tan has had really good offers but he won't sell because sam hammam is behind them and tan won't sell to him.

It's crazy.

Personally,I’d never defend the guy but a guy called Jonny (who I don’t know) organised it with a group of others. AA wasn’t involved in any organisation but obviously went on the march.

I asked the Police liaison officer and he said 250 were at the actual stadium , although around 1,000 started the walk before they all dispersed and went into the ground.

Just watched the video on the bbc article and the guy who spoke was very articulate and spoke very well on the issues with Tan, asking for him to go or change. Very reasonable and one in the eye for those who just want to label it as a bunch of thugs on a power trip. Bet they are gutted it didn’t kick off or lead to a Cardiff defeat.

Well done to all involved and done more to raise awareness than any Fans Advisory board have done so far

I’ll be honest I’ve seen next to nothing about the protest as I don’t go on that forum anymore. Seem very little on Twitter/X other than a few saying they were undecided if they wanted to join it.

In my opinion the protest was a bit of a damp squib. Despite walking to the game from Canton, I saw nothing. Then we not only play well, but hammer our biggest rivals, and in front of a bumper crowd. The team fielded four players that we have paid good money for this season (Daland, Chambers, Robertson, and Salech). We have no debt, except to Tan himself. Things could be a lot worse.

In a way Saturdays result, performance and bumper crowd was the worst thing for the protest.
If we'd lost and been outplayed in front of an average sized crowd, then it would have been ideal fuel for the protestors fire, but as it was, the match itself is what gained the most headlines and coverage.
