It's still one of the quickest places to get latest news.
My default setting is on 'Following' so I don't see the random stuff unless I switch to 'For You' and then it's like falling into a nertherworld of chaos. But I don't go there very often.

Yeah there are definitely ways to limit the impact of its decline.
For me the best thing about twitter would be to click on a post and see discussion around it in the posts below, nowadays all you get are bots posting completely unrelated things or girls advertising their onlyfans. Its a dying site.

I'm pretty much the same, and I no longer tweet/retweet/comment/like. I certainly don't pay for a shitty blue tick either!

My work involves a lot of social media, not much on X, though. I use it personally to see both sides of arguments rather than just looking for people who reflect my views. The problem is there are a lot of attention-seeking inflammatory comments on there

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
They are working on corners and boxing the keeper in. It looked a bit better on Tuesday. Swansea won't like that. I can see some pushing and maybe a penalty for us. We need to keep our heads; they are cheating Buzzards.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Tickets flying off the shelf one day before the game.
Other half of Block 117 on sale. Middle Ninian near enough sold out.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
They have opened block 117 up as well

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
We've won once on January 18th in 10 attempts since 1947. We did play Swansea at home in the Autoglass Trophy on a Monday night on this date in 1993. We lost 2-1.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Looks like Sloper Road open after the game and no restrictions. Surprised at that?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
- After winning their most recent home league game against Swansea City in September 2023, Cardiff City will be looking to win successive such matches for the first time since December 1985.
- Swansea City have won five of their last seven league games against Cardiff City (D1 L1), scoring 15 goals in total during that time whilst also keeping four clean sheets in the process.
- None of Cardiff’s last 19 home league games played on a weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) have ended in a draw (W7 L12), since a 1-1 draw with Watford in October 2023.
- Swansea City are winless in the Championship so far in 2025 (D1 L1) and could go winless across their opening three league games of a calendar year outside of the Premier League for the first time since 2004 under Brian Flynn in the fourth tier (first 6).
- With his 90th minute equaliser against West Brom last time out Joe Allen (34y 296d) became Swansea City’s oldest goalscorer in the league since Wayne Routledge in July 2020 (35y 197d v Reading).

Bubble trip so all Swansea fans getting on coaches. No away fans exiting on to Sloper Rd, so no reason to close it.

It's not a blue tick, it's a white tick. Amazes me how many people can't see that.

City's recent performances have given me hope.
You cannot let me down Bluebirds.

Just gone 1.30am.
I’m loaded on Talisker and didn’t realize the game is at 7.30 my time.
Currently listening to Rat Race by The Specials…with a good finger and a half left.
Got my alarm on but I think it’s futile so in advance come on City beat the Gypo C*nts!!!!

Enjoy the Talisker. It's a great drink. My favourite is Laphroaig though.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
Please a positive attacking Team and I hope we've been working this time on pressing as a team high up the pitch.
I'd go Alnwick Ng Dalaand Goutas O Dowda Chambers Robertson Colwill Ashford Robinson Tanner.

That was my first thought, but I keep coming back to the idea of playing the players in form, and Rinomhota has been very good lately, all credit to him.
Do we need him in the midfield to break up play or do you start him at RB?
Some tough calls today

I think Siopis will probably play alongside Chambers.

The intensity of our press will decide the game. If we start like we did in midweek, then its going to be an oh so familiar story against these.

Need to go at them, be interesting to see if cabango and darling are out as their fans have alluded too, I very much doubt they will be knowing what jacks are like….

Slightly envious of you tbh.
Record it and if we win watch it all with a few cold ones.
Lose, delete it!

Hope if Riza's there today the jack fans don't decide to target him.

They don't look up to much. Just need to find a way of keeping the ball.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
it'd be so useful to be good at set pieces in a game like this wouldn't it?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
If we carry on playing like this every week relegation will be avoided in a few weeks.
So much better last few minutes
