It was a strange one. Must have been a floodlights issue. The crowd was around the 1,800 mark, plenty of City fans included. I remember it being a game where the challenges were flying in from both sides, quite an ill-tempered affair. Pretty sure one of City’s goals was a penalty.Quote:

The funny thing was the Week before I'd watched Wales win in Cyprus in the heat then the week later I was stood on the side of a hill up the Rhondda watching the city.
Daft how you associate non football related things with particular games (at least I do). The home leg against Admira Wacker was played on the day that became known as Black Wednesday as the Government were forced to increase interest rates twice in a day - I went to the game straight from work and remember that, for the only time in my life, some of the pre match talk on the Grange End was about financial markets.
Also, so sad to see Ton Pentre struggling so much now - they’ve only got one point so far in a league which I’d guess is the lower standard they’ve ever played in, they have a challenge to get through the season.

What didn't help in the stadium was right next to us was a mob of Cyprus fans with a drum and a big lump of a Wales fan reach across the divide grabbed it and punched a massive hole in it.
The Cyprus fans went mental.
There were also quite a few squaddies in with us trying to put union Jack's up.
