Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Theres no point sitting back as we're crap at defending. Id play Salech and Robbo and get after them.

Luton have conceded more than Burnley and Sunderland combined and we managed to score against both. Surely this should be an easy win.

Please. Don't.

You cannot overstate the importance of matches between sides in the lower reaches of the Championship. They're monumental, each and every one. Under the circumstances, I'm amazed more people don't turn up to watch them.
:hehe:
If we hadn’t beated all them we’d be in a right pickle. We need 11 points (on my own mathematician calculations) so this is a must win.

It's not Man City v Liverpool but to fans of our clubs tonight it's a huge game.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Horvath; Ng, Goutas, Fish, O'Dowda; Chambers, Ramsey, Robertson; Colwill, Salech, Alves.

Very attacking. Let’s get into them

Very attack minded, plus we have Ashford, Davies and Robinson on the bench for when legs tire in the 2nd half. Let's hope we don't give away any foolish goals early on, Onwards & upwards

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
That's alright, but why 1 winger?

Hopefully that one winger is on the right as they looked much more effective on that side.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
City 2 Luton 0 Alves, Colwill.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Interesting lineup, I think I'd rather see Robinson than Salech as we're not going to be getting a lot of crosses in with a flat back 4 and one winger with any pace and it's also a team that is more designed to be keeping the ball on the deck. Not really sure what to expect, just hope for no defensive calamities to put us up against it in the first 20 minutes for once.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
We will probably do what we typically do and give a club that is near relegation a helping hand by letting them win

We do respect tradition!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
is Colwill playing on the wing?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Fair to say both teams have started nervously. That's the generous version, anyway.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Robertson's passing up to now has been woeful
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
We look incredibly nervous.
Can’t pass to a team mate.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
4 center midfielders and none of them can pass to a teammate or beat somebody for pace. When Alves gets the ball it's one against four every time. I'd love to know exactly what the game plan is supposed to be.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Ng sleeping, nothing new with our defence
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
do they need a bell in the f'ing ball!
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Luton are dreadful, clueless.

I wonder how many times I have thought, this is the worst we’ve played this season.

And yet, they've had the 2 most clear cut chances. Both from set pieces, both from exactly the same place on the pitch.

Proving the point that Ng isn't a very good right back

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Colwill playing well. Ramsey passing tidy. Other than that it’s nervy
Edit: few nice touches for Alves
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Wtf was that from Horvath

They will be saying exactly the same thing. We are an absolute shambles, and a goal from a set piece is coming.

We are very out of sorts at the moment

Horvath is a liability for sure, howler coming.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
At one point there we had Ramsey, Chambers and Colwill in a line passing it to each other 20 yards inside our half, then it got swung out wide to Alves who had 4 Luton players around him and nobody to pass it to. I don't think Riza has the slightest clue what he wants to do.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v LUTON TOWN. Match thread
Awful game between two dreadful teams. We haven't got any width and the passing is dreadful.
