They clearly don't have much insight about us.
We are NOT the kind of squad that rolls up their sleeves and fights tooth and nail.
Sounds like it could be an edge of your seat thriller !!

I think they've got that bit right, which is the only thing that gives me any hope for today - not that City are any good, but that Rovers were over-achieving under Eustace and they've brought in Ismael, who failed badly at West Brom and Watford.
His results so far at Blackburn:
1 - 1 v Norwich (H)
1 - 2 v Derby (A)
0 - 1 v Stoke (A)
Ismael's favoured style of football didn't work at West Brom or Watford, and it's not working so far at Blackburn. It'll probably be a bit of a culture shock for the Rovers players after producing some reasonably decent football under Eustace. Hopefully, they haven't adjusted yet.

And huge respect to them for the sacrifices the have to make by choosing an away day, like chores around the house, taking the mother in law out, shopping, dealing with the kids etc. I applaud every one of them...

I've had a feeling for a while that several of the players aren't playing for Riza. After Tuesday's "performance", I think they all have. If we don't win today, hopefully he'll be gone on Monday. Feck knows who we'll get in top replace him though....

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
5 changes. Put a shift in lads and cement your spot in the starting line up for the run in
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Hardly surprising. Player changes all over the place.
No Ashford , no pace.
He's lost the plot. I doubt the players know what they are doing.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Thank goodness he’s changed the defensive line up yet again for what feels like the 19th game in a row
At least we know it’ll be different again on the next gam

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Playing football manager, chopping and changing the team continually!
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Not confident there’s not a defensive mistake in that line up again
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
This looks like a typical first half team. Designed to do absolutely nothing. The desperation second half team gets thrown on when behind.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
No point trying to work out what that line-up is all about. If you’re just a fan you wouldn’t understand.

I assume we’ve abandoned the boxes today 😂

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Nice last minute penalty ( that was very soft) sending Stoke to defeat, maybe today our luck changes

I'd avoided checking that score.
As you say, perhaps our luck will change.
Plymouth v Derby looking to be interesting.

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Cunning plan...two forwards and no wingers, bound to confuse Blackburn but unfortunately us too.

Is it? One player out wide with any pace again, one recognized center back, three defensive minded midfielders with another one at RB. Looks like a random combination of shite to me.

Just think about how many boxes we can make

width is provided by the wing backs - fine on the left with O'dowda.
I will end my sentence there as I'll be criticized otherwise.

Maybe not!

Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Today's team is brought to you by the word "slow".
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
No threat down the right hand side.

Or left , from midfield and set pieces. Apart from that Blackburn are sh!tting themselves.

This could be the 1st games in Turnbulls life where he comes on and adds pace to the midfield.
-
Re: BLACKBURN ROVERS v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
2 up front though - been a while since we had a proper upfront partnership

O'Dowda might offer some from left wing back

To be fair he might. Unless Bagan is LWB and O Dowda is playing centre back in the wonderful world of Riza and his feckin boxes.
