What I can believe is if we lower home tickets, away tickets have to be lowered too. Due to the EFL rules about home/away tickets being priced the same for equivalent views.
And if that is the case, I can believe the club twiddled their thumbs for long enough and decided on cheap tickets after Stoke and Oxford fans had already paid full price, meaning WBA was the only possible game.
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
It’s simple to Google it, the EFL ticketing procedure is explained.
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
I couldn’t believe the ruling on this either. Another team/business imposing restrictions on how you trade. That’s what it boils down to and in what other industry would anything like that happen?
But that’s football for you.
But surely this needs revisiting now that every game is televised, which is clearly hurting attendances.

The ruling is ‘The away club has no say in the home club’s pricing and the home club is not legally obligated to consult them’. The home club are obligated to charge away fans the same for equivalent areas of their ground except four 4 occasions in one season where they’re allowed to offer ‘local promotions’ on ticket prices. I’m not aware of the City using the ‘local promotion’ option yet this season, I may be wrong but if I’m not, we’re still allowed to drop prices for 4 home games regardless of opposition.

the game against Watford was kids for a quid with a fully paying adult in December
would be a good option for the last 3 games me thinks

As I said I wasn’t aware if we’d used one of our 4, as you point out we’d used one. Should be a no brainer to use our other 3 allowed ‘local promotion’ options, certainly for the bank holiday game. Perhaps our club’s hierarchy don’t use Google to find out EFL rulings:hehe:
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
As if the club couldn’t do a walk up deal on the day…total BS as ever….im sure Wayne Nash will be frothing over the away fans a usual with a free pint, food and massage as they walk in…..
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
The Answer to most administrative bullshit down the club is Wayne Nash.

I bought six kids at the Watford game but they are costing me a fortune to feed.

should be a formality in the circumstances, makes total sense both in terms of additional support for our struggling team and financially for the clubs coffers, which is why it'll never happen..
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
Stoke has to be a half price deal if you want the ground fuller then it has been and the club needs all the help it can get to avoid relegation.
Re: Let's Fill the Stadium
Last home game, they’ll want it full to get rid of the shit lager/beer in stock
£1 a pint half time :hehe:

I expect the players to fill their boots in that case.

You wait, there’ll be people complaining after the game about too many shrieking kids and their annoying innocent chants
“CARDIFF!” clap-clap-clap
“CARDIFF!” clap-clap-clap
