Some might call this match “kick and rush” football.
Cardiff certainly wouldn’t cope with the intensity/pace.

Nice little reference to Peter Kitchen there. Happy memories!
The thought of Leyton Orient being a division above us makes me want to die inside.
At least Stockport have a lot of momentum going on right now.
I'll give credit to Stockport, they seem like they've been on a trajectory similar to Wrexham's. Got out of the Conference before they did, escaped League 2 in the same season Wrexham did, and might be able to escape League 1 also like Wrexham. They're a well-operated machine.
Leyton Orient on the other hand are a high-tier League Two team, not a Championship team. Stockport in its current iteration could make a good go of it, Leyton Orient will just get sent straight back down.
Tonight and last night's have been great for the drama if not the quality. Feel for the fans!
Penalties. Stockport twice missed last minute chances.
Orient win on pens.
So we are going to Stockport for sure next season.
Stockport going to be a solid team next season gunning for autos.
This is not going to be a walkover, and if we underperform, we could be staring down the barrel of a gun.
Quality was poor. Made some of our games thus season look classics. Well sort of.
What teams offered was commitment and energy which we lacked so often, plus big strong centre halves as midfield bypassed often.
If we get it right no reason why we don't make play offs at least.
Charlton vs Wycombe is an affront to the senses
2 teams hitting it as hard as they can as far as they can
If you think Fish, Daland and Bagan are going to cope with this at centre half we are deluded
We desperately need an old head to organise them at the back
Yeah, our lightweight central defense and probably central midfield is my biggest worry at this point. Teams will lick their chops at getting stuck into the current options we have there.
Tonight's match. 74 mins and no attempts on goal by either side. The fun will no doubt start now! :ohwell:
1 nil Charlton. Terrible keeping. Bottled it.
Wycombe are crap.
Our side would fold against this type of football.
Next season is going to be horrible.
Nathan Jones is bonkers.
I hope Charlton go up, they were a solid Premiership side about 20 years ago, and they've toiled in League One long enough. Certainly deserve it more than Leyton Orient.
Meanwhile, in the National League.

It’s a shame, I wanted ‘Dale to progress.
So far I have put the kiss of death on every team I’ve backed.
Tonight, I definitely do NOT want Walsall to get through.
Could do with a Chesterfield goal to liven this one up a bit.
Half an hour to go and Walsall still lead 2 - 0 on agg
Walsall 2-1
Pitch invasion with 90 seconds to play. Great feet from Adomah for his second assist for Walsall.
Crazy ending
Why invade the pitch when you're up by three goals with 90 seconds to go, just wait for Christ sake.
Glad Walsall won though, but I want the winner of Wimbledon vs Notts to go up, I like both of those teams.
Lovely finish doubles Wimbledon’s lead over Notts County early on.
Rooting for Sunderland, Charlton and Wimbledon.
It takes a special type of naffness to be relegated in your seventy fifth, one hundredth and one hundred and twenty fifth anniversary seasons like Cityhave been. Mind you, two of the teams we played in our seventy fifth anniversary season (74/75) when we were relegated from the old Second Division were York and Oldham who meet tonight in the First of the National League Play Off Semi Finals, so I suppose it could be worse for us. The National League Play Offs have been entertaining so far with eleven goals scored in the two games played (just having the one leg probably encourages a more attacking attitude), so I’ll again be giving the Premier League a miss to watch the non league stuff.
Oldham thump York, no-one saw that coming!
Yes, it was going to plan.for York for twenty five minutes or so. They were on top for that time, but once Oldham took advantage of a half hearted and unconvincing attempt to play out from the back by the home team to go one up, the belief drained out of York and two early goals from Oldham in the second half made the final forty minutes or so an anti climax. Genuinely sorry for York who were clearly the second best team in the league - it’s a goal tally of 7-0 now for Oldham in their two Play Off games now and they’ll be full of confidence in the Final.
Forest Green v Southend tonight in the second Semi.
Possibly the two biggest Clubs in the National League meet in the Play Off Final. Southend won 4-2 on penalties at Forest Green last night following a 2-2 draw after extra time, they’ll play Oldham in the Final.
I don't think the playoff scheduling has done the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd any favours. York and Forest Green finished well clear of Oldham and Southend but then had more than 2 weeks off whilst their opponents played their quarter finals. Could argue they'd have fresher legs but it doesn't look like it.
