It's definitely doable, but try coming up with a list of successful first season captains and it will be quite small. Most of the great captains in the game have been bedded in over the course of a couple of seasons.Quote:

Regarding the candidates it is a highly personal decision for the manager to make, as they will need to develop a special relationship between themselves. Looking at recent seasons, Ipswich got Morsy in when they went down and it resulted in double promotions to the Premier League, which highlights the importance of making the right choice.Quote:

I think it will be Wintle - because of his experience, his fitness, his position on the pitch and that he seems to talk and organise more than the other senior options.
That is if he plays regularly. The No 6 position seems to be between him and King.
In a year or two I can see Colwill, Bagan or King as captain.
But more important than who wears the armband is a changed culture in the squad where there are 'captains' all over the pitch - with everyone talking, organising, taking responsibility and leading by example.
I took my boys to the Family Fun Day at the CCS today.
Rubin came out ahead of the other outfield players. Make of that what you will. Possibly nothing!!
