Surely you needed to have plans and a strategy in order to pivot away from them.

Simic I'd like to see more of, not sure how much of that one is up to BBM.

We’ve lost Godfrey, Jones, Pike, Fraser:hehe:
Re: As of today, do you think.................
Please can someone explain to me why people are saying we have a stronger squad than last season? Are they genuinely of the belief that the returning loanees are going to transform the club?
BBM is already been seen and talked of as the next Messiah, but please whilst optimism is to be applauded some of the comments about our prospects for next season should be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
League One is full of hard gnarled pro's - thankfully some of our highly paid fancy dan's have been shown the door.
WE NEED FIVE OR SIX PLAYERS from the custodian of the net to the outside left.

Watched another of those podcast predictions this afternoon - they had us finishing 16th with the reason for this being described in two words, “Vincent Tan”. I know predictions are not worth anything this early in the build up to a season, but one thing they do is give you an idea of what other teams are doing and Huddersfield are being compared to Birmingham last year by some League One podcasters - us on the other hand, are being described as things like a ‘“shitshow”.

It's because last seasons squad was hopeless and maybe a few young players and returning loans are better than what we had.
As it stands I think the podcast prediction of 16th mentioned is probably fair.

Bearing in mind the opinion most of us have on the recruitment team it's probably no bad thing.
As long as it doesn't mean we're just sticking with the players we've got left.
That’s the bit that took my eye.

I'd be surprised if BBM could bring in 5 quality players just after losing 10 million quid in revenue but you never know !
If we do keep basically the same squad as last season and we could bring in one or two players a new keeper would be on my shopping list[/QUOTE]
City fans will fall into this trap. It's going be hard , hopefully not humiliating.

We lost £10m in income but saved about the same in wages for the players whose contracts weren`t renewed.
This coming season is not so much about transfer fees but player wages payable as we are restricted to 60% of turnover under the EFL financial restrictions rather than the Championship ones based on profitability.
Re: As of today, do you think.................
Players have left and no one has been brought in to replace them yet. The squad is weaker.

Keith, as a guide to where we find ourselves, would you be able to give us the wages to turnover proportion in the latest published accounts which, I presume, are for 23/24?

Back to the original question, obviously weaker and the sooner we get a few players in with the right character the better
We lack leadership on the pitch and players who can battle
We have too many bottlers and in League One we need more battlers

If we don't know how we are going to do how can they, they probably take a ten minute look on here and other boards then guess, the bookies have us 2nd.
BBM's target is top six or the sack, we will soon see what he's like it looks like he's got a lot of responsibilty now leading the transfer comitee.
