There is a second tweet further down stating that rumors that Tan has moved the goalposts are not true. A meeting has gone well, and he predicts a newspaper story will break soon.

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
I think we can openly talk about who is leading this 'South African' bid now, as it's being discussed on twitter.
Gary Otto. He's currently the main shareholder of Sutton United. SA born, US Citizen but spends a lot of time in the UK. He financed Sutton himself (alongside others - though he is now the main stakeholder), but I understand he's very much the face of the consortium looking to take on CCFC, with some big backers behind him. I've no idea who these supposed big backers are.
Found this article interesting - https://yardstrength.com/gary-otto

Cheers.
Like I said I am not on twitter, so I only saw the quote in the link provided.

Which is fine, but as long as they stay radio silent rumours will flourish and agenda's will be pushed. The "we don't comment on rumours" line isn't doing the club any favours especially in light of signings not being forthcoming to distract us.

On Tan flying in tomorrow or that something may be imminent?

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
So we have Keith Morgan,Chair of the trust saying the stories are not true.
And CCFCWelshlad who has proved very reliable with City news in the past appearing to confirm that something is going on.
The ttuth is out there!

Si on the YouTube channel is more than convinced. He appears to be the main source of the unofficial public information coming out on this

I've no idea how far things have gone or where things are at the moment tbh, just noticed that the name I was given around this interested 'South African' party was being discussed openly tonight.

I read that as Keith saying Tan isn’t flying over today to complete the deal (Si makes no mention of this in his podcast either), rather than him saying there is no truth to any of it.

Given the rest of the comments around over the weekend you may well be right, but Keith's comment was a bit confusing it could also mean nothing was imminent either. Mike also queried this.
Tan not coming over by itself means nothing as any deal can presumably be ratified by his representatives in this country

Morelike Dalman flying in to meet them, I doubt Tan will bother will he……

The amount of media 'noise' is sufficient to convince me anyway, that something's going on and ideally parties are keen to get things done as soon as possible. I can't think Tan's going to add to the wage bill in the meanwhile, nor would any incoming owners want him to, so whoever owns the club they will want at least 2 weeks before the September 1st window closes, otherwise it's another wasted season in League 1, IMHO. I'm pretty sure that were a takeover occur it's usual for the new owners to run things whilst due diligence/right and proper person etc. roll out. If I were trying to buy Cardiff City I wouldn't rushing to do so if their season was over before it began..

I think you’ll find it’s only when a club is in financial difficulty that the incoming owners to provide financial assistance and that’s at their own risk.

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
I can't get too excited yet, think even if these discussions are well developed it's going to take a long time.
Are we sure Bale isn't involved in this rumoured leading bid? I'm not saying he is but he is the only person that we have received information from directly.

In addition, as no offers have been received, claims that due diligence procedures are in progress are a nonsense. No due diligence has been carried out either by potential bidders or by the club on such potential bidders.
On what evidence other places base their claims is far from clear.

Depressing.
Sadly the rumour mill is in full swing and it means people are going to be very disappointed when we start the season with a couple of loans and no real news on any takeover movement.
Club can barely be bothered to keep us informed at the best of times, I don't see anything being put out on this until they absolutely have to.

Well, I imagine they're using Glen Williams & Paul Abbandonato as their mouthpieces, same way lots of clubs do with local journos

Based on what the Head Coach told fans last week, I don`t expect us to start the new season with any new loan signings . He made it clear that these are unlikely until later in August as Premier League teams don`t finalise their squads until then so he won`t know which targets will be available until later than the beginning of August. However, he did say he fully expected to finalise the permanent transfers in of at least two players.

The hysteria surrounding the club at the moment is unbelievable.

So when the club told the trust that they won't comment on 'rumor' they were justified?

I know I'm just being naive but how do people not get called out over such false information online including named bidders etc. it is not in any one:s interest to have this level of mis information out there

No, it’s not, it’s entirely predictable when all the club do is, very reluctantly, feed fans scraps on all subjects, not just takeovers, when they’re forced to.

I'm confused. Didn't Bale publicly state that a bid had been submitted?

I don't know where Keith is getting his information from but he seems certain that there are no formal bids. There are 'expressions' of interest but that is very flakey. Therefore it could well be argued that the clubs statement that it would not comment on 'rumor' is justified at this time

Read Keith's post again. There are no formal bids at this time. Maybe something is in transit. You would have to ask Bale about his comments

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
Ninian Knight - Thank you. Some posts of sense and sensibility. It appears that if fans are not fully immersed 100% of the time in the takeover rumours there must be something wrong with them!
What will be will be, middle aged men jumping up and down and bashing their keyboards is not going to help matters! And I am 64 and a half and have seen more than my fair share of nonsense from Bob Grogan and Stefan Terlezki onwards.

It wasn’t justified for all sorts of reasons. The Trust expressed their dissatisfaction with the reply they got for a start and, after a summer of almost zero communication from Tan and co following a relegation they were mainly responsible for, it was the bare minimum they could say.

I would say the relegation was 100% down to the players and the management thereof. Tan (and I am no fan of his at all) could hardly be held responsible for the lack of effort and pitiful performances on the pitch. We paid high wages and bought players in - they let the club down.

Re: Identity of other bidders for the club revealed?
I have it on good authority that the main backers behind the consortium are Ben Steele, Bonny Langford and GoalPost Malone..

A phrase I heard used quite a bit when talking about our relegation was that we’d been “circling the drain for years “. By contrast, our two relegations from the Premier League before this one were both one year affairs, but sometimes a relegation can be years in the making. For example, the first two relegations I can remember (74/75 and 81/82) followed years of struggle on and off the field and 24/25 followed the same pattern.
I agree that last yearÂ’s team was poor and lacked character and leaders and that Bulut and Riza have to be judged as failures, but we were also a shambles off the pitch ( we still are). Furthermore, who hired the succession of managers weÂ’ve had in recent seasons who werenÂ’t up to the job and who was it liked to tell us about their involvement in a recruitment process that was instrumental in putting together the team you say lacked effort and provided a pitiful level of performance?

That bloody Bonnie Langford has been involved before along with her mate Sharon Stone, eventually rumbled as being Sam Hammam’s shower of crooks. No thanks!!!
