Your last paragraph is gibberish
I haven't voted in an election for a few years.
And the last vote I had in a local election was for Labour.
Admittedly that was for the candidate rather than Cardiff Council as a,whole.
Carers have been treated badly by all parties.
Don't,t forget I was a carer many years under the last labour govt.
They were just as bad as the tories.
And this lot have hardly rushed to help the carers have they?
What do you regard as a Tory then Sludge?

Thatcher privatised the care system
Its been an utter disaster ever since
We are stuck with it though as the money involved to take it back under the control of the local councils and health boards would completely cripple us , just like the privatisation of the gas , elec , water etc etc
Thats your shout as you voted for all this
If you vote Tory, you are a tory

What does right-wing mean here? Not supporting immigration rates that bring 10 years worth of people to the country in one year?
Not voting for a party that has failed Wales for 25 years? Or one that even you admit was a failure at a UK level?
You throw words like idiot around because you struggle to pinpoint what's really different about them.
You talk about Tories and right-wing things, like a medieval priest talking about the devil and hell.
Why on earth would I vote Labour? Why would I do that? You tell me.

Theres loads more far right nutcases in reform , and JW is backing them

At least Rupert Lowe only made his laughably stupid post once!

JW you vote reform
So your talk of nuance and fair play is utter bollocks
Even a vote for the tories is a push but you could argue your case I suppose
But Reform are nationalistic , sound bite , dog whistle idiots
And you have joined them at the party
Every one of your nuanced , look at me I am a caring tory posts over the year , bollocks , blown out of the water
You are about as nuanced as Genghis Khan

The very fact that you think in order to believe in nuance, "fair play" (whatever that is) or anything else is only possible if someone supports the same party(ies) you do demonstrates how unfit you are to cast judgement on those matters.
Obviously voting is optional but we have to vote for someone, no? I asked you earlier why I should vote Labour and all you've offered is rambled rants and the usual personal attacks. Don't you think that says something?

Should of course have been
Antidisestablishmentarianism,
formerly the longest word in the English language
But then I find that certain dictionaries no longer recognize it.
Now it's
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
I have to try and use somewhere,!

You do talk the most arrant nonsense at times.
So was Dorcus who seems to believe that Centrists have no moral compass.
Hang on.... Has anyone ever seen Dorcus and Sludge in the same room?

If someone votes tory or reform the moral compass issue is a wise angle
How can someone go to church , think they are all good and holy and vote for the conservatives or their stupid freak cousins reform with the shocking social policies they come up with ?
Its absolutely ARRANT hypocrisy

You do know that there is a flip side to this argument in that those who believe in evolution could believe in the survival of the fittest?

So all Tories have no moral compass
And all you noble socialists are wonderful human beings
Yeah right......
For some reason you seem to think I am a church goer????
And you don't seem to understand that many people who have in the past voted Tory are against the unfortunate move to the right of the current party.
You know very little about me yet you assume to know my views in detail.
And I would not vote for Reform in their current incarnation.
They would have to take a very sharp turn to the centre and the dropping of their more extreme policies before I even considered it
-

Thats a libertarian view of evolution, a sort of free market approach, not my thing
Humans adapt , mixed race kids for example , cultures mixing
And of course animal species mix and produce hybrids or mix and adapt to changing environments
Thats of course factual and isn't in the big old book

Yes , left and left of centre vote for investment in education , NHS, schools , social care etc ....definitely moral compass
Right vote for self , low taxation , etc
Derek Hatton was a socialist snake and Ken Clarke and Geoffrey Howe more liberal party naturals , there are always outliers

And once again you ignore the many millions who regard themselves centrist without being labelled left (or right) of centre
The left and right ( and also if I am being honest centrist) ephitets date back to the French Revolution and really do not reflect the nuances of modern politics.
Dorcus in his wisdom(!!!!) called me a dinosaur.
There are several posters on here who can be called that more accurately.
Naming no names....
Sludge!

Not sure that's true, it certainly is not universally true. It's also a pretty dubious definition of morality, though i agree it's important to invest in social care and education. Absolute pricks span the political spectrum though.

Honestly I don’t know if that’s a Libertarian take or not.
It’s a take that that popped into my mind after smoking Soap Bar In Baneswell about 25 years ago, a few years before moving here.
I found it a paradox then how atheists, which invariably were “Leftish” looked at evolution as a fact (not saying we aren’t spawned from mudskippers) and everything then on being down to Natural Selection. Then the American Right, (which were invariably Christian leaning) would shit all over evolution but be full on capitalist in “let the weak ones die” regarding business and society.
Nothing much has changed apart from platforms allowing people to shout their certainty and those who are unsure or reticent to say what they feel.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts"
