It wasn’t a party according to Dominic Raab because people were wearing suits;-

I wonder what your reaction to this would've been if a different political party had been in power?
BTW the question's rhetorical, I'm fully aware that you and your mate "James Wales" would be apoplectic with rage.
Carry on doffing your caps boys :xmashehe:

some of the Tory fanboys on here would be incredible at the "defend the indefensible" round on fighting talk.

I'm never apoplectic with rage about anything, least of all about a Labour Party indiscretion of Covid rules.
I wonder what I said on here about Vaughan Gething or Stephen Kinnock? 🤔

I'm sure everyone will dissect the nuance of each photo when it comes to deciding how to celebrate Christmas/NY. Should the Tories implement Covid measures in the next couple of days I'm sure plenty of people will look to these pictures (and everything else) and ignore any directives, which won't really help matters. No-one's furious; people are just fed up of these idiots.
Enjoy your afternoon being Sarah Vine.

Obviously this photo had no bearing on Johnson's decision not to sack Dominic Cummings when his lockdown busting story emerged a couple of weeks after it was taken.

Do you think some of the people in this article have the right to feel furious beyond this evening?

The awful starmer will probably be our next PM and we'll have a god awful Plaid coalition here.
What a shambles of a Government - Understandable how hard it is to govern as well have Brexit to sort, but even the strongest supporters cannot support the double standards and whimsical restrictions

Judging by the input of a few Tory fanboys on this board, it seems they are very able to support the double standards. One wonders if anything could faze them as long as it's got a blue hue.

Your first four paras sum it up well - think we’re still a long way off Starmer becoming PM though.

No, but maybe you need to think a bit before making a “jokey” response.
You didn’t answer my question either.

Oh, I think folk are furious all right, whatever your party politics . One thing I'm certain of : last week Keir Starmer and his Labour party had the opportunity to bring down BJ and the government in one stroke. That he chose to vote with the Government shows the Country is devoid of any opposition whatsoever. Despite the awful mess BJ is making of everything I think the likelihood of a Labour government is remote as it's ever been..

You think voting with a bunch of libertarian zealots would bring the government down at one stroke? How quaint!

Like I said, it just doesn't bother me that much. The other parties did far more. They were out and out abuses of the rules, I don't see that here.
Help me out here. Was it the cheese or the wine or the non-social distancing that most created that environment?

Being in opposition doesn't mean to oppose every single decision

I think it’s obvious now to all in this thread that you are on a wind up. No one in their right mind would stick up for this bunch of liars. They made the rules that literally meant people died alone without their loved ones by their side. Some had to say goodbye to their parents via bloody iPads. Meanwhile they partied. When the rule makers become the rule breakers we are in real trouble.

This is embarrassing
The snake like apologies and twists being made by a clear tory boy to defend the shysters he's voted for is dire stuff
Blair was a liar , people can look back on him now and realise that
But old James will be making excuses for Boris and his team of chancers because like him , that's the MO

So Penelope , arranging face mask distribution to the NHS had 3 glasses , she's OK, she was only merry
Rupert , head of transport , he's had a bottle , he's sacked ?

I'm not making excuses for it. I'm just saying it doesn't really bother nor surprise me.
Billions spent on furlough, thousands in hospitality shitting their pants as we speak, nearly a million jabs today. Welsh NHS just cancelled all out patient operations. That is of greater importance to me.
You just don't want to talk about is as droning on about Johnson is of more interest to you.
I acknowledge it's not a good look but I'm not spending my day being furious with my online buddies on CCMB about an out of context photo that is 18 months old.
Soz bra.

How’s it out of contaxt? I’ve never really understood what that term means, it just seems to be something guilty people trot out to try and justify themselves.

Cos it's a snapshot and no doubt the worst one chosen (bottle right by the PM etc). His wife next to him. Make it look like a jolly. She may have sat outside for only 2 mins and the bottle may not have been his.
Surely you know how a photo can be misinterpreted? And I'm not even saying it has been, but you don't know the context.
It's just daft, it's there to enrage you and it's working. But there's way more important things here. At least I think there is.
