There is an interesting quirk of the numbers if you compare Wales with the whole of the UK.
Wales has about 1 21st of the total population of the UK.
Proportionally we have had more coronavirus cases than we "should" have, about 10,000 more than if we had had the average rate for the UK as a whole.
However, we have had less deaths than you would expect compared to the UK population - about 350 less.
No idea if this is a real effect or just a quirk of the numbers, or differences in the way the data has been collected etc.
