About time we got back to discussing money laundering in the Donald Trump thread. Cheers, Mozzer.
Now to join the dots: Florida real estate deals. Inflated values. Russian oligarchs. Cash injection for failing Trump businesses. Totally legal or a swamp of fraud and corruption? Hmmmm….

But it really is a question for American people isn't it? They are the ones to have judged the last four years and the opening two and a half weeks (yep it's only been that!) of his presidency.
On that, more people have a favourable opinion than not.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com.../donald-trump/
There is no real economic data out, so can't really judge that.
I should imagine views are mixed, but I would bet most like this
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c20p36e62gyo
And despite his ways I should imagine many welcome the bids to stem the tide of Fentanyl given it kills 70,000 odd Americans a year.
There will be things they don't like too and it's all too early to see if any of it works.
But again, this idea that we have to have a view on him that is all good or all bad is just daft

You’ve changed your tune because you started this strand of the thread when you asserted that Trump really does care for his base who, we’re told, include very many of the downtrodden working class - all I’m doing is asking what has he done for them, not just in his second term, but his first one as well?

Again, it really is up to them, not you or I. There is plenty you can read up on it.
But not withstanding COVID, I gather the economy did alright, wasn't hit by high inflation etc. Theyno doubt like his cultural arguments, perhaps they feel safer, like the focus on the stronger borders etc.
I don't think when you look at it Trump has done that great. But people were pissed with Biden and Trump offered an optimistic vision for many.
Have to see how he does won't we!

wow talk about changing the subject !
The USA taxpayers were being taken for a ride . Now DOGE are after the Education department and even the pentagon
Trump now revokes Biden's security clearance with immediate effect mind you i don't agree with that

You arguing about things I’ve not made any comment on in this part of the thread. All I’ve asked is for examples of things TRump’s “base” of working class, underprivileged voters have benefited from during his presidency. Everyone of the days during the past week, I’ve woken up to hear stories about what Trump has said and done as the first story on the news Alexa reads to me - it’s brought back memories of 2017 to 2021 when you’d invariably wake up hearing about what Trump had written on Twitter overnight, there was plenty of sound and fury through those the four years of his first term, but what was actually achieved? Plenty of “trickle down” tax cuts for the richest, but not much else as I recall.
This story lists 16 things Trump did last week, none of which benefit his so called base I’d say.

Gluey and his mates don’t seem bothered about that. They’ve spent years telling us about one type of corrupt elite that is really running things, but it seems they’re not too bothered about corrupt elites from Silicon Valley unless it’s Bill Gates.

I'm still on the fence, I haven't decided one way or the other.

This is the fence that didn’t appear to exist when it came to Trump’s first term and the likes of Gates and Soros is it?

The matrix is being revealed and you are still hung up on orange man bad? I'm going to let things play out before I take any position, as things can go either way.

"the matrix is being revealed"
I get the impression that some of the trump fans on here are going to be very disappointed how little has actually changed come the end of this presidential term

This conversation seems to suggest that after a month in power, some people still thinks Trump is the man for the job, which I find incredulous.

I think it’s the brainwashed ones that do.
Granted it was decided on balance there was insufficient evidence (although a lot of evidence) to follow through on the technical/legal charge of collusion.
But a mass of evidence (and a clutch of successful prosecutions) showed the extent to Trump-Putin collaboration.
Take the common usage (not the narrow legal definition of collusion) and there is clear and repeated co-operation, sharing of information and strategies, shared interests, co-ordination of attacks on the back of data theft, and use of supposed third party hacking outfits like the St Petersburg troll farms owned and directed by Putin allies to promote a Trump victory.
At least you claim to be off the fence on this one. Your 7 year campaign to spray perfume on Trump may be in error and a perversion of the truth - but no splinters for you, so maybe some good came of it?

Re: The Donald Trump thread
DOGE is cleaning up millions of dollars in fraudulent expenditure, 99.9 % of the fraud has been by the Radical left, there will be Republicans exposed as well. CCMB?, it's ok because the Trump administration must have done it as well. TDS is alive and kicking Yuge on CCMB. FWIW, Farage is being lined up as our next PM and it'll not be down to votes counted in the polling stations, it's already decided by those who pull the levers of power, when will we see Farage proposing the UK equivalent of DOGE?. The illusion of choice continues with the intended division of society to be continued.
STARMER OUT !!!!!!
