Gabriel Osho on his way out?
Indeed, according to several sources, the player has reportedly announced his departure to the club …
A third-division club in England has allegedly made a bid of 1.5 million?
What should we make of this?
He'd be a real coup if we got him! Won't hold my breath but if we only sign a couple of his quality I'd be chuffed.

His wages (at least for the 1st season) could be an issue, but I doubt he is earning more at Rangers than Turnbull was at Celtic who we signed in the last 12 months of his contract - albeit when we were in the Championship. But Matondo's career is currently at a lower ebb that Turnbull's was at the time.
Though, it doesn't look like his and BBM's time at Man City coincided. I'm sure that BBM will have a good relationship with people at Man City who worked with him and you'd have to assume that Matondo's time there was a success as it persuaded Schalke '04 to spend £11m on him.

Turnbull was a very highly rated youngster in Scotland too when Celtic signed him, so probably on more than decent money
Would be funny if, after all the legal issues when Matondo left for Man City, he ends up playing for us anyway

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Osho played full game for Auxerre today. If the rumour that we are interested is true then there is obviously no agreement yet.

Agreed, on both accounts.
It is still ridiculous that a big prem club can poach a young player from a lower league team, paying £500k compensation, and then sell him for £11m little more than 2 years later despite him not having made a single 1st team appearance.

Agree 100%, there should ideally be a percentage of a sell on fee payable to the club the player has been poached from, I’ve noticed how many transfers of young players from premiership clubs contain a sell on fee for the club, they are raking it in from every angle.

Indeed. The Premier League clubs don't let a penny slip through their fingers. Sell-on fees seem to be a matter of course included in their transfer dealings.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Monday morning and I wonder is this the week when we finally start acting like a club that wants to make an immediate return to the Championship rather than just talk about it - if it’s not to be this week, then there’s only one more that it can be.

A mate of mine who is a Boror fan says we're trying to get hold of Micah Hamilton on loan from Boro. An interesting one as he's worked with BBM at Man City and he's able to play in midfield or out wide.

Hamilton was seen as something of a statement signing when he joined from City 12 months ago but the winger endured a difficult first season on Teesside, making just two Championship starts before he went out on loan in January to Stockport, where he also struggled to make an impact.
Hamilton was left out of Boro's matchday squad for Saturday's Championship opener against Swansea, but Edwards insists the 21-year-old still has a future at the Riverside.

Gabriele Biancheri anyone? Available on a loan, fits BBMs remit.

He hasn't made a single first team appearance for anyone.
I believe this side badly needs some experience, although others will argue to the contrary.

He and Crew might as well have stayed here

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
I see Wrexham are in for a defender from Man City which scuppers the possibility of Chambers joining them .
-
Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Rangers fans would drive him here.

Unless he's outstanding and could take us up (like when Derby had Wilson, Mount and Tomori) I don't see the benefit for us. He's not in Bellamy's plans, and Mark Harris is, so I can't see it being hugely beneficial to us, unless he came here permanently, which he won't

I did see that BBM said when asked about getting a winger in to cover Tanner that "players we're looking at can play in lots of positions". That is Hamilton - centre mid, attacking mid, either wing.

The Owls are ready to launch a move to sign Horvath from Cardiff as they look to find a short-term replacement for first-choice goalkeeper Pierce Charles, who has been sidelined by a shoulder injury.
Sheffield Wednesday are unable to sign new players until owner Dejphon Chansiri can offer assurances that he can pay them, but things could be different when it comes to a goalkeeping crisis - the club currently has no senior options available following the injury to Charles.
Signing Horvath would give Henrik Pedersen an experienced goalkeeper to call upon during Wednesday's upcoming fixtures, and while it is currently unclear whether the Owls are preparing to sign him on an emergency loan deal or a free transfer, his arrival would be vitally important.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Horvath going from back-to-back Championship playoff promotions to back-to-back Championship relegations. Brutal.
I do hope Wednesday defy the odds and hang on though.

I am sure there is a sell on clause with Will Fish. If he does well here and is sold, Man United will get a cut
