You might want to check that. Someone else crossed the line first.
Dembe #1000; Eric #1001.

I saw 999 just before I posted. Must be replies, not posts. Waiting for the obvious ridicule coming my way after another mare!

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
France aren't a great watch, but if you look at their stats they've been creating more chances than many other sides in the competition.
Hoping Spain win tonight though. I like the way they play with Williams and Yamal.

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
Don't trust Spain to beat England, so I'll be hoping France turn it on tonight.
Allez les bleus.

If England go to penalties would they have an advantage?
I think they would due to confidence and the quality of all penalties which were near enough side netting from memory?
Or would it confuse things if they tried to score on the opposite side, or would they all go the same way again?
Would Holland go opposite to where they normally do to throw out Pickford's notes?
Hopefully, they are burnt out from the last two extra and it doesn't go to penalties.
Come on Spain!!!

Can’t believe Holland have never won the WC
Biggest team never to win it? There is an argument for them

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
Identical chances for both sides in the first eight minutes, Spain miss, France score.
-
Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
The Spanish are being dirty gets tonight.

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
Historic and brilliant goal levels it up - much better game than I was expecting up to now.

Has to be them, 2 time World Cup finalists? Only one that comes close otherwise would be Belgium perhaps?

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
Great game , two sides going at it. Spain with Yamal and Williams for their magic , France with Dembele and Mpabbe.
Hard to call this one.
-
Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
Should make for a good second half with Spain leading. France, unlike their run to the semi, have to go for it.

Dreadful defending by Spain then
Not their usual calm as a cucumber

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
i can't get into it, tho there was intensity i thought the match was shite

Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
France rubbish in the final third as they have been all tournament. Might as well bring things to a close now pre-season's here.
-
Re: EUROS thread. The semi finals
I hope England/Netherlands stuff Spain. Can't stand the way they act after any minimal contact

Holland in the 70s were certainly the most entertaining .
Cruyff was the big name up front,Rudi Krol in defence...
then 15 minutes later you'd see Cruyff defending, Krol leading the line.
Commentators at the time could never work out the formation. Best way to describe it was "rolling".
How they didn't win the WC will always be a mystery.

I thought he was excellent, incredible pace. Hardly boring Tony, perhaps not quite hitting the heights of the first half.
I had a little wager on Spain as they went one one... always keeps it interesting.

No mystery, Argentina cheating is the reason

That's where the phrase Total Football comes from, players being able to adapt wherever they are on the pitch. That Dutch side wouldn't have pushed two central defenders up top for a set piece and then expected them to sprint back when the phase of play was over (like we see in this country) they'd have stayed up front and returned to their positions gradually.
