Whatever the rights and wrongs - far more wrongs for me - it definitely has not helped us early season. We need to beat Kent now to kickstart our season.

Looking at the way our bowlers are doing it seems a bit of a shame that Marnus is going to replace Ingram for those 2 games. I think I'd rather it was Fernando sitting out. Good to see Harris back and in the wickets, end of last year he seemed back to his best, if he can carry on like that we have a really serious bowler on our hands
Kent 212 all out and 19-0 following on. Think it could be very hard work for Glamorgan if they don’t make a breakthrough with the new ball - hope we don’t regret not including Crane.
Kent 48-2, great catch by Carlson to get rid of Bell-Drummond. Compton out as well.
66-4, three wickets for Fernando.
8 down
Only in cricket. Nine Kent wickets down and Glamorgan trying to prolong the game with spin at each end because they’re on course to have a point deducted for a slow over rate
Glamorgan win by an innings and 161 runs.
That's better.

It certainly is. And even fernando chipped in 2nd innings. Let’s hope the start of something. 2 more before the break - and worryingly both in Cardiff!!
that'll give their confidence a big boost and well done to the you youngsters.
The Derbyshire game was a big improvement and we were unlucky not to win, but yesterday was a demolition job (albeit against a weakened Kent side). I said earlier in the thread that I didn't think we'd win a game this season, but they seem to have cut out a lot of the sloppiness from the first three games, and they're not giving their wickets away as cheaply which always helps.
Kellaway seems like he's having something of a breakout season, and while I don't want to jump the gun on Tribe just yet, he really looks like he could have the temperament and technique to be a long-term solution to that opener problem.
I should also say I've been a massive critic of Fernando, but it finally seemed to start clicking for him in that second innings. Bowled some terrific lines, very accurate and hostile, and picked up some key wickets. If he can maintain that for the remainder of his time here, he could yet be a success.
I agree about Fernando. There was a suggestion on here that we drop him rather than Ingram when Labuschagne plays his couple of games. I didn't comment on it at the time, but I didn't disagree and I also thought of hiom as beign the one to step down toi accommodate a return for Mason Crane, but he was looked on it from the start yesterday and, if he's going to bowl like that, then he has to play.
A word to for James Harris who bowled so well in his first spell of the season. He and Van Der Gugten were superb at the start of Kent's first innings as they gave them absolutely nothing to hit and had them playing at virtually every ball - Van Der Gugten gave the in form Kent captain Bell-Drummiond a terrible working over before having him caught by Ingram.
England have had an obsession with tall bowlers for years and I strongly believe that the fact that Bashir is six foot four helps his test chances immensely. It’s even worse with quick bowlers, I don’t think an English bowler with Malcolm Marshall’s skill set would get selected for the Australian tour if he was the same height as the real Malcolm Marshall was.
If anyone likes a punt, I think you could do a lot worse than backing Nottinghamshire to win the county championship at 8/1 with paddy power/Betfair . Good side on paper and doing very well so far. Sitting on a 12 point lead currently at the top. Surrey still short, but they look a bit weak in the bowling department, and their batting lineup will be hit hard by the England squad.
England basically ignore county cricket. Bashir was picked based on nothing whatsoever and has kept his place by doing more nothing.
Bashir 8 with the bat, 52 with the ball
Kellaway 33 with the bat, 26 with the ball
I appreciate that the recent 181 not out helps his batting average a bit lol but Bashir would do well to score 180 in a season.
Now I'd rather not lose Kellaway to England but there isn't even a comparison. My dad watches almost every minute on stream and he was raving about Kellaway having talent although he wasn't quite doing it. We went to a couple of days of the Sussex game at the end of last year and I've never seen a spinner beat the bat as much as Kellaway did in one spell, it wasn't even a particularly helpful wicket.
