Maybe the intention was to have one last season, but there was a realisation in pre season training that he no longer had the desire and,or general fitness to do himself justice?

The positive spin would be to speculate that Harrisknew something we don’t yet and he realised that he had little chance of playing with the depth we were going to have in our seam bowling - I agree with Pearcey, we need at least one more seamer because I could see James Harris playing quite often with the attack as it stands currently and our four day batting is weaker than it was last season at the moment.

36 wickets in 15 first class matches (according to CricInfo). Average of 37.69 which isn't much to write home about, although Glammy reckon he'll be well-suited to the Sophia Gardens pitch.

Compare that to Sam Elliott who we were previously linked with, who has 60 wickets in 16 FC matches at an average of 23.25.

Very much so. Kellaway isn't getting all the attention like Tribe but I think he is the more talented. Done well alongside the evergreen Ingram.

No attempt to go for the second batting bonus point. Early days and a draw in the first game would be fine.
Surely the time has come for Edward Bevan to retire. He makes so many mistakes and is nor a good listen..

Might only be worth 1 bonus point but what a gutsy fight thus far by glammy. Warms the heart after 20-4 early on. I’ve always had a soft spot for ed bevan - glammy’s greatest pessimist - but he is starting to age now!!

302 all out - Yorkshire were set for an awkward seventeen overs batting, but the umpires abandoned play for the day for bad light after ten balls with the score 1-0.

He started his commentary yesterday by saying how much he enjoyed going to watch cricket in Yorkshire, particularly enjoying Edgbaston!! His regular gaffes and constant droning on about rugby are more than enough reasons to pension him off.
