I agree about his physical health. Say what you like about him, he has a schedule which many virtual septuagenarians, like myself, would definitely struggle with, yet he’s a virtual octogenarian.

The closest you’ll ever get to an apology from Trump I suppose.

One of the great lines from a review.
‘Even if they showed the new Melania Trump documentary on a plane people would still be walking out”.

I read recently that five generations of Trumps managed to avoid national service.

Why are you thinking about Trump on your holidays? :sherlock:

With 3 million docs not yet released, time for Trump to start diverting away from Epstein again - the man’s a pig.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
So having seen the first attempt at passing off a meme of the Obamas as apes posted from Trump's personal Truth Social account as characters from The Lion King. Then a stern lecture to everyone to stop with the false outrage.
Only when Republicans pile in is the post taken down. Apparently the ludicrous tale now is that it is all the work of a junior staffer who posted it unvetted in the personal account at close to midnight without Trump's knowledge, presumably using an autopen of some sort.
Seems like Trump is so cowardly he can't even take responsibility for his own racism!

This is not news, Cyril.
He has perfected that particular form of cowardice (alongside others) for 79 years - and is now a black belt in it!
-
Re: The Donald Trump thread
Talking about it on newsnight now. I doubt he actually posted it himself, but I don't think it matters, it was done under his name and it demonstrates how unprofessional the set up is - someone didn't watch it til the end, or someone is just desensitised to "humour" like that and thought it was okay when It plainly isnt and is also politically stupid as well as being a racist trope. It demonstrates how infantile the whole culture of his social media approach is. It can work in opposition if it feels honest and personable but is wholly inappropriate as a president.

The concept of a black belt in racism is a tad ironic....

Re: The Donald Trump thread
Panic over, nothing to see here - Trump has said he didn't watch all of the video before he posted it.
So, the truth is, he's not just a pig, he's a coward as well.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
I've just watched a podcast where someone said that posting that video was not the worst thing Trump did on Thursday
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2915414.html
Don't forget though, he's not a Fascist even if this sort of behaviour seems very Mussolini like to me.

Perhaps if Penn Station is named after him he will ensure that the trains run on time!

He should be fairly pleased though. Didnt he have an immortal puppet show named after him back in the 70's?

Trump's $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC will begin on February 15, 2027, in Florida
didn't think it would get this far !

I wonder who he's getting to pay his legal expenses?
MAGA loyalists? US taxpayers? The Mexicans?
(it won't be King Don).

Re: The Donald Trump thread
The lunatic in the White House is against the Chagos Islandz deal again. I may be missing a few u turns here because it’s hard keep up, but I think the sequence now is he’x vern for it, against it,for it again and then against it again. What I’ve never understood is why people treat with such fawning approval — what they should is follow the Trump approach, he’d treat someone as indecisive and incoherent as he is with contempt and Trump would absolutely go to town on someone who does what is called Tacoing in his case so often.

He's going to be even madder today, the Supreme Court has ruled against his Tariffs :hehe: I'd be surprised if he doesn't have Plan B though.

Plan B will be to release the Alien Files (or maybe a squidgen of them) to deflect from the Epstein Files. One day he'll run out of deflections though.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
I am beyond curious if anyone exists that can still sincerely declare Trump a strong leader. He's as strong as a 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum because he didn't get a large at McDonald's. Weak-willed, petulant, bitchy manchild.
I feel like I'd be exploring an entire new realm of insanity and rejection of reality.
For as awful as Andrew Johnson was, he wasn't a paedophile as far as I know.

Unfortunately there are so many intellectually challenged people in the World (specifically in this case the USA) that this nonsense will persist. So many deluded people think it's a better bet to vote for increasing billionaires incomes than socialist aims to give it back to them.
Today the challenge to the political landscape is to somehow sideline the dummies and enlist sufficient people of at least average intellect to vote sensibly.
This is the age of Bullshit and when constructed Trump style it's an existential threat to democracy.

I bet he's done very nicely thank you out of the tariffs, which are just extra taxes on ordinary Americans. I wonder how much has found it's way into his bank accounts.

Imagine if we had a "Cuban missile crisis" while he had his finger on the button. :yikes:
