commentator saying we have given it a good go? are we 0-3 up NO

Re: BURNLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
6 points for Burnley, when it could very easily have been 6 to us.

Re: BURNLEY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Poor 1st half and wasted chances, but when it came to the big decisions it was Chelsea all over again.

City players furious.
I must say that Dean had a good view.

The Guardian minute-by-minute blog:
Cardiff have huffed, they have puffed, they have been rebuffed – there was another very decent penalty claim a couple of minutes ago – and now they’re stuffed!
That hurts!

That is really harsh. We've been pretty good in the second half and on another day might have had a few penalties. You can't blame the players for not having the quality.

Should never of taken Ken off

It's not a penalty, his hands-arms are in a natural position, that's why it wasn't given.

Within the boundaries of the quality we have we have given it a good go second half. Ultimately over the season we haven't had enough quality, particularly going forward.
Not a massive amount between us and Burnley over two matches but they took their chances.
Only thing I've been disappointed with this season is set pieces, for and especially against and well a few of the decisions from the officials.

Re: FT: BURNLEY 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A blatant but sly trip on gunners after he has gone past his marker in the box.
Ridiculous

Re: FT: BURNLEY 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Mike dean will get good marks for that. Managing to find another way to get warnock to explode.
Very creative mr dean- giving a pen and then changing your mind at the last minute for no reason. Well played.

I don't think any of the shouts were pens, although i couldn't make out the last one from Manga's shot, was it leg or arm? We don't create anything in the final third, that's the problem. No team stays up by relying on decisions going there way.

Mike Dean was never going to give us a penalty today.

There must have been a reason, Did he consult his linesman? someone must've been in his ear.

If a player miscontrols it and it flies up onto his hand, it gets given. The key is that he plays it onto himself.
-
Re: FT: BURNLEY 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I don't think either 'handball' was a penalty. What really cost us the game was the Hoilett miss and inexcusable marking for Wood's first goal.

Really? Even if his hands are in a natural position? It's not like he can get rid of them.

What constitutes a natural position for an arm? Attached to a body?
-
Re: FT: BURNLEY 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The point of the handball rule is to stop players punching or picking up the ball. If the ball hadn't his his hand, we wouldn't have had any advantage, so would be pretty stupid to give a penalty for that.

Yeah, I've seen it happen at the top level. I've had free kicks against me for doing it with my shite control.
I'm a fairminded fan, I always try to take emotion out of it. If that was against us, I wouldn't complain.
