Sweden from Africa is a bit of a trek tbf
http://www.asylumineurope.org/reports/country/france/recepti on-conditions/access-and-forms-reception-conditions/forms-an d-levels
The French pay 300 euro per month to an over 18 seeking asylum, ( temporary waiting payment. ATA) Children are excluded. Britain pays approx £140 per month though asylum seekers can claim for housing and for children.
There were a few different families over the years, including a very friendly family from Zimbabwe, who it turned out afterwards the father was a former head of security for ZANU pf , and had presumably fallen out with Mugabe at some point.Quote:

And your link says France too 10k+ asylum seekers, the UK only took 2,300
Responsible people would find a different solution to dragging their young children across continents, oceans and through Europe, sorry it's a harsh question but why do that to your children ,no other place nearer their homeland ?
Europe could probably save money if it invested in strong homeland security checks and sifting. Rather than wait untir some nut job radical bombs us and we spend millions on beefing up and fixing the damage retrospectively.Quote:

Shows you don't quite understand their plight and the reasons they go to specific countries.Quote:

very true, and lets not forget we are not talking about your average british family here with 2.5 children. many trying to enter this country, are families with a brood that would put the waltons to shame. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gifQuote:

Here in Perth, Australia there are quite a few South Sudanese kids at my daughter's school. One is my daughter's friend and she and her family (and thousands of others) fled Sudan (Darfur) to escape the genocide being committed by the 'janjaweed' against non-muslims.
Despite coming from a third world country ravaged by war, she and all the other South Sudanese are probably the most positive people I have ever met. Inspirational, in fact. When I moan that my flat white tastes bitter I sometimes think of what these poor people have had to go through; almost raped and/or massacred for no reason other than not being of the right religion, forced to flee their homeland or die.
These third world, black Africans make a mega effort to assimilate with the Aussies (unlike many of the other migrants here - many Brits included) and their children study like fcuk to get into the top percentile. They join the local clubs, get involved in local charities and are pretty much model citizens (they are what I want to be, but am too fcuking lazy to be). The dads (there are many families without dads as they were slaughtered by the Janjaweed) work like fcuk and provide for their family. The mums are model parents and get heavily involved in all sorts of PTA-type things and fundraising, etc.
Anyway, what I am trying to say is that you can't judge a book by it's cover. I foolishly bought an Oprah Winfrey book that had a lovely cover but the contents were fcuking SHITE !!!
If they are not really genuine asylum seekers, kick the fcukers out. If they ARE genuine, take them in, find decent schools for their children, somewhere decent to live and help the dads find jobs, and before you know it you have new British people who are model citizens, make a positive contribution to society and are happy to be where they are.
Unless they are of a religion that automatically hates it's new host country and its' ways.

When I was in Perth which, was just over a year ago now, I was surprised at how many immigrants there were in Perth, my surprise was based on what we read about the Aussie system and how difficult it can be to get in.Quote:

The ones who are "queuing up" to get here are usually because they either have family already here or they speak English as well as the fact they think there are more jobs here
