Re: CARDIFF CITY v CARLISLE UNITED. Match thread
More than half of this lot started in the EPL last year. Carlisle are a League 2 team. Scoreline notwithstanding, I'd say we're having slightly the better of it so far. What stands out for me is there's not a single player out there that looks any better than anyone else. And we're still using long throws. Surely this would have been an opportunity to try to play a bit of football?

The continuous long diagonal balls to nobody in particular is just shameful, when playing a side 2 divisions below you. And a struggling league 2 side at that. Shocking

Any semblance of quality would show up today. It looks like this is non existent. How the hell is this team mid table championship?

Tomlin and Glatzel on at half time I expect.

Shite, isn't it. There are a few out there who don't want to know.

Murphy should be dominating a game like this. Perfect opportunity to get some confidence back. What a waste.

Great preparation for the derby...

Missed the best chance.......shot across goal......for a touch.

There's more than a few that don't appear to want the ball, and seem to make runs to avoid it, when it was far easier to show for it

He looks 2 yards of the pace. The Carlisle fullback is dealing with him with ease.

What has happened to Paterson, the injury he got playing for Scotland seems to have done for him, he hasn’t been the same since

Re: CARDIFF CITY v CARLISLE UNITED. Match thread
This is NOT how a Neil Harris FA Cup team plays. It will never happen again because we're going out and he won't be here next year.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v CARLISLE UNITED. Match thread
For me today was always going to be about the performance, the confidence, players grabbing their chance etc, rather than just scraping a win for the sake of it.
From the sounds of it this clearly isn’t happening. Shame. Something’s clearly wrong and it’s not just a relegation hangover.
Not sure if I’ll rush home from shopping to watch the second half...

Consider this. We haven't created a chance from open play, not one passage of creative play. Slow, ponderous and predictable.

He’s been our best player (but that’s not been hard)

We're four days into the transfer window. Why are these players still here?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v CARLISLE UNITED. Match thread
Dress that up how you like, that is completely ****.
We're actually not playing any differently than we do usually regardless of the lesser opposition. Long throw and hit and hope against Carlisle.
