Only 3 of Luton's squad cost a transfer fee.

Any of the others out of contract?

11 superb pelanties and then …..
He never looked like scoring, his walk up, the nerves on his face, it’s still going into orbit.
Great for Rob Edwards but already filling one of next years relegation places.

An entire season shouldn't come down to one poor sod missing a penalty. That's harsh.

Peter Ridsdale handing out the medals. I hope they counted them before and after.

That’s the rules. Every club knows where they stand before the season starts. Personally, I’d like to see a replay until the winner is found.

Luton Town
Will be really lucky to reach 10 points next season. Most clubs will be looking to take 6 points off them. They deserve credit fr reaching the promised land, but the novelty will soon wear off , when the fans see them getting beat most weeks.

I think they will finish bottom. But with their direct physical style im sure they will upset a few at Kenilworth Road and 4th bottom is unlikely but not out of the question.

Great news. I wonder if it was a delayed reaction to a head injury?

Re: FT: Coventry City 1 - 1 Luton Town. AET. Luton win on pens
Unfortunate that the taker of the missed penalty was Dabo. Coventry certainly said "da bo" to their chances of promotion after it. (Welsh pun....)

Re: FT: Coventry City 1 - 1 Luton Town. AET. Luton win on pens
Edwards a manager I wanted after Watford sacked him, available free and we needed a manager. So frustrating.

I wonder what Nathan Jones is thinking at the moment.

That he’s statistically the best manager in Europe probably.

Re: FT: Coventry City 1 - 1 Luton Town. AET. Luton win on pens
Luton may well surprise the big boys and give them a bloody nose like Bournemouth , Brentford and Brighton have
Maybe they will stay up a few years
I certainly hope so

Re: FT: Coventry City 1 - 1 Luton Town. AET. Luton win on pens
Unless they get a big investment they are doomed .

Re: FT: Coventry City 1 - 1 Luton Town. AET. Luton win on pens
Championship teams found Luton very hard to play against, I don’t think Premier League teams will - they’ll have to refine their game a fair bit to stand a chance of staying up. We didn’t in 18/19 and were relegated and our17/18 team was quite a bit better than that Luton side.
I didn’t think the game was as bad as some on here did, but I’ve never seen a Championship Play Off Final with so many ordinary players on the pitch.

In China, "Da Bo" is also how you ask to take away food in a restaurant (or at least how it sounds). Sort of works for this too.

But the sides contained quite a few ordinary players who would easily get in our side.

Not sure the PL will be so happy with so many small clubs in there trying to sell it to the world, Luton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Burnley, Fulham….quarter of the clubs barely get 20,000 fans in?

We would have been relegated from the weakest Championship I can remember were it not for someone else being docked points.
However, I thought Alfie Doughty was one of the best players on the pitch yesterday and yet I can’t remember thinking that about him when he was playing for us. That makes me think a couple of things. First, Luton probably have better coaches than we did last season and, second, that the Championship is jam packed full of players of roughly equal standard, so things like momentum, good team spirit and a clear way of playing that everyone understands can take you an awful long way in this league.
