It was well known in Yorkshire he was a wrong in for decades and decades, speaks volumes really. People were afraid to speak up. Happens today if it’s against the narrative.

I mean if they were young and had cool hair and talent, some people could get away with it. I grew up in the '70s he was already a creepy old man then. The hair? WTF?

Peter Stringfellow was another very creepy old man but not a paedophile obviously
Same sort of dress sense though
Re: Steve Coogan As Jimmy Saville
I went to a job interview in Merthyr once around '93. As I walked through the town centre I saw a bloke standing at the bus stop in a multi coloured shellsuit, patient leather shoes and a shirt and tie. I made up my mind before I even got into the interview I didn't want to work there.

Blokes like Saville and Stringfellow wore creepy clothes with saggy skin on show
Very odd
Saville looked like he never washed his hair
Re: Steve Coogan As Jimmy Saville
He was apparently very good friends with some high ranking south Yorkshire police, as was Cyril Smith the MP, who officials turned a blind eye at as well as Saville. There are other documentaries available - other than the bbc / itv's effort - which in my opinion should not have been made into a drama series. Just keep it as a documentary.
