No, it couldn't be ruled out that Shaw gave Riza his opinion.

whatever Shaw did or didn't say, i doubt very much that it would have been enough for Riza to change playing tyle and formation today, considering he's only been with the club less than a week. If you think that there's some possibility that shaw was instrumental in todays victory then that's up to you. I very much doubt it though, people read a bit too much into things (in my opinion)
I had a stream and it very much looked like Shaw was in Riza's ear very often.
Purse sat down more than usual, as he previously couldn't keep still.
There was a new member of the backroom staff that I didn't recognise and talked a lot to the subs.
It’s pretty clear that Riza knows and trusts Shaw and in a case like that, I think it’s perfectly possible that the new coach had a say in the tactical change involving Chambers as sometimes a fresh set of eyes looking at a problem can point out things others were missing because they were too close to see the bigger picture.
On the other hand, they could have read about Chambers’ false number five role on my blog :xmashehe:
Shaw 100% won that match. He was on the blower to Tan early morning and they discussed a tactical plan to win the match. Round lunch time Shaw bought the whole team a pint and a bag of crisp (O dowda refused due to geo political/religious reason) to win the team over like. Then at half time he gave everyone a good rub down.We won. This happened 100% i was there and saw it with my own eyes. not speculation at all.
Three games unbeaten since Shaw arrived. He's clearly brought something to the team.
Assistant coach bounce.
to be fair, we do seem to have been more defensively solid since Shaw has joined the coaching staff.
