There is absolutely nothing wrong with any Cardiff City supporter wishing the club had a better owner than an individual who has treated the fans with disdain for more than a decade and has just led two different clubs to relegation in the same season.
Flip that do you want to piss off the only person keeping the club afloat and “hope” they sell to the best bidder not the highest bidder.
Maybe Sam will come back ideal as we know he leaves his debt leaves with him.

I sincerely hope Tan is already pissed off.
The notion that this guy is our saviour and the only person who could or would keep this club afloat just goes to show how weak the fanbase has become. It's Stockholm Syndrome in full effect. Be careful what you wish for, blah blah blah.

I would be happy if he sold to SpongeBob Square Pants. It's got to the "any port in a storm" situation. Hold your nerve!

The Trust is not under total control of Tan at all. And i would wager the FAB is not either. The FAB is a bit constrained by the MOU they signed with the club. Both set ups have very good level-headed people that have fans at heart. If you wish to promote yours or someone else's crusade against VT then go ahead. But do not run other fans' groups down, If you are going to state that the FAB and Trust are under control, then give us some evidence of such.

Is he keeping the club afloat ? Or is he just consistently making terrible decisions that ends up costing him and our club millions? When did he last hire a decent manager……and then theres the transfer committee….:hehe:

Thats the hardest thing to understand, why?
Unless there’s a massive financial incentive for when the Sala case is settled, what keeps him involved?
Not every decision you make in business is going to come off, and this business decision seems to keep costing him money?
Maybe there’s a belief that we can be successful and sold off at a higher price? but the last few years haven’t shown that!
Usually you would want to employ the best people you can afford to drive a business forward!
I doubt they’ll be a big launch for Tans guide in how to run a successful football club, if it ever appears
Although the one chapter on go to employ a successful manager would be an interesting read!
Let’s hope that this time he gets it right

There can’t be many clubs that have been managed so badly by an owner? We usually come top of that table

Keeping us afloat while slowly sinking perhaps.

In 15 years of ownership we have never been in a winding up petition, which we seemed to be every 5 minutes under the Riddler and PMG. Yes he is keeping the club afloat even if he is making loads of mistakes.

Is that fact or opinion? I agree if you want another owner because you don't like the current one then you are perfectly entitled to hold that opinion. But it is not fact that things will get better and could make a bad position worse. Borley's opinion is that things could get worse. Would you be happy if he sold out to an American investment firm or hedge fund? I would be terrified if that happened

Half the Premier League is owned by American investment vehicles of one shape or another.
A third of all English football is owned by Americans.
But hey, Vinny is doing a great job.

Remember how we all felt back in 2010 when we learned there was something to those rumours linking us with a billionaire? It felt like the sky was the limit and, after all of the Hammam bluster and the Ridsdale flying by the seat of our pants, we were set for a time to match or even better anything in our history. Fifteen years later, the same man is in charge and now the word is “things could get worse” - where did it all go wrong?

Not how I remember it, we had several winding up order, HMRC plus several others. My memory is just wanting a club.

In the 15 years Tan has been here, I’d imagine the fans of Bolton, Derby, Bury, Blackburn, Wigan, Blackpool, Reading, Wednesday, Portsmouth, Notts County and probably a few more would’ve at some point or another bitten your hand off it you’d offered them Tan.
I would rather Tan sold up. I absolutely don’t wish him to sell up to the first available buyer.

And yet four of those clubs will start 2025/26 in the division above us.

Would that be the case if they knew a rebrand would happen?

Re: Yes there is a petition
I bet Wrexham, Brum, Burnley, Leeds and Charlton are glad they have different owners
-
Re: Yes there is a petition
I read the petition statement with interest.
If somebody makes a claim I like to believe it’s balanced.
I am not saying that all is right. Far from it.
But for balance, I have supported City for 62 years, remember the good days under Scoular, all the bad seasons that we had, particularly in the lower leagues, remember the nearly moments under Dave Jones and seeing CITY in the top league for two seasons, 2 from 62+,
both under the ownership of Tan.
Yes change is necessarily, but the right change.

it's almost heresy nowadays to say anything good about the Hammam/Ridsdale era but by heck, they were good, fun, exciting times. The key thing for me that the current owner and his chums just don't grasp is that a football club and its supporters need feel a 'buzz' about the place, things happening, directors keeping themselves in the media. With our distant [in all senses] owner it just feels a bit cold and flat. I've always had a pragmatic stance on Tan, but now I'd wish he'd go. whatever the circumstances, even administration..
